Since the Taking the Stage finale aired last Thursday, y'all've been dying for some dirt about what's up next for the cast. (Trust us, we have, too!) And although MTV is still keeping any official info about a second season on the DL, Mia (who graduates from SCPA on May 19) revealed during a live chat on cincinnati.com earlier today that the cameras are still rolling! (Cue dorky fist pump.)
A coupla other interesting tidbits: Mia DID go on that date with Tyler, and apparently they still remain "close." Just how close remains to be seen. Also, Mia's put her dream of moving to NYC on hold for now, but she's def. not giving up on getting her music in the hands of the public. This summer she'll be performing on a college tour and independently releasing an EP! Look out for it on iTunes, plus remember to keep checking back with us for more inside info on TTS.
Oh yeah, in case you were wondering, Mia says her fave food is mashed potatoes. Girl after our own heart!

There were lots of surprises throughout this season of Taking the Stage. Like, who woulda predicted that Mia would become The Other Woman? And what was with Jasmine not getting into Juillard (or Fordham, for that matter)? We assumed she had it in the bag! So now that the show's over (boo), we're left wondering: What will happen to the students of SCPA? Like any meaningful, long-term relationship, we need some closure! Or a second season to start ASAP.
Guess the best we can do for now is cast our hopes into the blogosphere and wait patiently for an update. (As soon as we hear something, we swear you'll be the first to know!) Take the polls below and tell us: How would you like to see things turn out for Tyler, Jasmine and Mia?

Despite amazing efforts from Jasmine and Aaron all season long, in the end, nothing could stand in the way of Mia and Tyler's show-stopping chemistry. And tonight, Tyler finally let Jasmine go -- and summoned up the nerve to ask Mia out on their first official date. Think their initial spark will turn into a full-blown love affair? Or was it all about the thrill of the chase? Now that all the distractions are gone, is there anything left for Mia and Tyler?

Although he's not the most impulsive guy in the world, Tyler had two important decisions to make this week. And choosing to take things to the next level with Mia (and let Jasmine slip away) wasn't even the hardest one!
After nailing a crucial dance audition, Tyler had a genuine life-changer on his hands: become a professional dancer (in New York!) or finish high school and defer his dreams for at least a year. Think he made the right call by staying at SCPA? Or should he have risked everything for the opportunity of a lifetime? You tell us!

Jasmine might've let her relationship drama affect her Julliard audition, but she's not about to make the same mistake twice. And while girl's focused on proving she's Alvin Ailey material, Mia's off talkin' to Jive Records (and pissing off her BFF Aaron by blabbing on and on about Tyler). So where IS the SCPA lover boy? Well, looks like this week Tyler's breaking out all the tricks -- and we're not just talking those high-flying moves on his b-boy audition.
Check out this sneak peek at tomorrow's Taking the Stage season finale and watch as everyone plans for their future. Including Tyler, who's finally ready to ask Mia for that relationship status update. Hey, who says there's no such thing as second chances?

Everyone knows Mia likes Tyler. (Duh, She's been chasing after him since, like, Episode Two!) So when he finally broke things off with his girl Jas, we figured Mia would be right there, waiting to take her place. Apparently, we thought wrong.
The last time we saw Mia, she was sidestepping Tyler's advances ... and running straight into the arms of her BFF, Aaron. And while we're not sure what this means (ploy to make Tyler jealous? More-than-friend feelings for her best bud??), we thought we'd take the opportunity to find out which guy you think Mia oughta choose.

+ Assuming she had her pick, who should Mia be with: Tyler, the smooth-talking big man on campus? Or Aaron, the sweetly sentimental romantic?

Although we personally don't condone moving in on someone else's man, we gotta give Mia props for being on top of her game. Not only does girl have Aaron wrapped around her (fingerless gloved) pinky, but now she's even got Tyler chasing her down the halls of SCPA. How does she it? Allow us to break down a few of her smoothest man-stealing moves:

Everybody knows "break" is just an abbreviation for breakup. So we can't exactly say we were surprised to see Tyler and Jasmine officially calling it quits. We were, however, quite unprepared for the intensely emotional scene that left Tyler tear-stricken (and full of wavery-voiced "I love you"s) and Jasmine choking back sobs in the stairwell.
+ Think ending the relationship (again) opened up a floodgate of emotions? Or does the intensity of Tyler and Jas' feelings mean they still aren't ready to move on? Take our poll and let us know whether you think their relationship is dead in the water -- or on its way to being resurrected.
Although Mia should probs know better than fall for a guy who has a girlfriend, Tyler's not exactly blameless in this whole sitch. In fact, it almost seems like he's been purposely keeping her around, like a backup girlfriend for when things finally (inevitably?) blow up with Jasmine. But apparently, Mia's tired of waiting around for Tyler to make up his mind. So this week, she's giving him a four word ultimatum: "Break up with Jasmine." Here's four more words, Mia: Easier said than done ...

We're not gonna lie and say we're not kinda lovin' the whole Taking the Stage love triangle (boy likes girl, boy accidentally-on-purpose kisses other girl) Jasmine, Mia and Tyler have happening. But we also immensely enjoy watching/living vicariously through those amaaaaazing performances (Mia's hot pants! JJ's club jams! Jasmine's angry/emotive dance solos!)
+ Think the show should be lighter on the drama/heavier on the dirty dancing? Or would you rather see more awkward relationship moments (and less of Mia's vocal stylings)? Now that we've seen what these kids can do, let us know whether you're more interested in their personal lives -- or their off-the-hook performances.
