Tyler Hilton. He is so talented, and I loved working with him. His entire family was there for his performance, and I have to say, they were a delight!
I don’t really know how I feel about my job on this week's episode. Is it just me, or did Julie seem over it? I thought I did great last week with Josh Henderson, but something changed with her, and it was totally bumming me out. She was treating me like a first day assistant! From the coffee runs to the critiquing, I felt that these senior stylists were not seeing my potential. I didn’t really know what to do, and I was getting discouraged.
I did like working with Cody though. He is smart, organized and we have a great time together. Spending time with him is like chillin’ with my brother … effortless and fun. One thing I like about Cody is that he does his research, and he knows his clients. This is key in the biz.
Can you believe Brett really crashed into a car? Holy guacamole, the poor guy! I swear, if it is not one thing with him, it is another. I actually had no idea that happened. I feel like there was a curse following him around.
So what did I learn on Episode 3, you ask? I learned that patience is a virtue. And it is something that I have to work on every day.
Love you - mean it!
First, Gary gets chewed out for saying too much. Now, Janna and Tara are getting knocked for keeping their pretty little mouths shut. So what's a junior assistant to do? Well...
In this deleted scene from Styl'D, Tara makes herself at home at Julie Weiss' place, taking a swig of OJ and dishing out a side of revenge. Check it out, then try to imagine the look on Julie's face when she finds out what happened to her toothbrush...
Cody may not have wowed the Styl'D gang on his very first assignment, but he's coming into week two determined to make some moves. First up on his agenda? Prove that Gary's not the only dude who knows a thing or two about fashion. Watch as Cody "The New Guy" makes the most out of his time with Julie (and celeb client Tyler Hilton) while his competition gets stuck playing errand boy (womp, womp). Then, after the jump, watch as Gary tests Julie's patience by trying to fly solo and find out why Brett's still holding his breath for a second chance.
+ Can't wait til next week? Check out another sneak peek from Tuesday's all-new Styl'D, after the jump!

The second book of Lauren Conrad's L.A. Candy trilogy (Sweet Little Lies) isn't due out 'til February, but the HIllzie's already moved onto the final phase: the glitzy, "about the author" photo! Last night, LC took to her Twitter to tell fans she'd taken a fab pic, thanks in large part to the styling efforts of Gary Samuelian, a.k.a. one of the talented newbies on MTV's Styl'D. Now if only Gary could get that kinda love from the senior stylists at MMA ... (Yeah, we're lookin' at you, Julie Weiss!)

OK, so I would definitely say that Tara is my top competition now, seeing how 1) Brett is fired; 2) Cody is not familiar with women’s fashion AT ALL; and 3) Janna can’t put a look together to save her life. Yes … Tara has definitely got me on patrol. The girl can style. She is eccentrically forward with her styles and pulls, and let's be honest, she knows what she wants.
I have to tell you, I was bummed I wasn’t ranked first this week. I know Tara pulled a red carpet look, but are you freaking kidding me? HELLO?? I was the the mad servant boy who had to haul two rolling racks, garment bags and shoes & accessories totes up Runyon Canyon. TWICE! For those of you who are unaware, it was the middle of the summer, and Runyon is a good mile and a quarter high. Not only did I have to perform in a freaking triathlon, but I was also the only assistant who actually assisted, from being at Julie's every beck and call to giving consistently strong looks that both Julie and the photographers were living for! Let's also not forget the fact that without me, Jules would have been up sh#t's creek!

I was so nervous to work with Julie after The Brett Incident -- jeez, Julie, talk about killing the messenger! Our jobs are nerve-racking enough having to work with high profile celebrities and trying to please Senior Stylists without having Julie belittle, embarrass and berate me in front of the clients! I mean, talk about unprofessional.
When I saw the episode, it was like watching Julie kick a confused puppy. A little constructive criticism would have gone a long way. I know I'm not perfect and I make mistakes, but I was trying to do a good job, listen, learn and fit in with MMA.
After a long, rough day, I was looking forward to meeting up with Tara, Gary and "the new guy" Cody, and hoping to get back on track with Brett -- but that just turned into more drama. Tara and Gary had invited me to Brett's roommates' party, but I sat there feeling awkward and left out. I remember hoping at the time that it would all blow over and I would finally be able to focus on doing a better job. Well, stay tuned...

So, a quick disclaimer … I’m a little scatterbrained, as you can see from the first episode. Let's just say there's a constant and consistent flow of things going on in my head. (Right now, I’m seriously thinking about how I need to hang the art in my kitchen). You can expect a lot of this in my blogging, so stick close, grab a diet soda of your choice and get ready for the nitty-gritty!
PASSION: Live it, love it, be it. There is one thing for all of us that makes us feel most alive, that makes us thrive -- it’s that one thing that when you're living it, you are at your happiest. My passion is styling. I've been styling from the time I was five years old, from putting outfits together for my mom straight out of her closet to dressing my girlfriends for high school social activities. Let’s be serious, what wouldn’t I love about what I do? By creating new, innovative and chic ways to wear clothes, I'm fully able to express my current state of mind. I only have one rule, and it's simple: KIP KIS -- "Keep it pretty, and keep it simple."
OK, now on to Episode 1 of Styl'D.

I never thought it would be possible to get an opportunity to join the Junior Assistant Program at MMA. I always put my fashion-oriented dreams on the back burner while I pursued more “realistic” goals like earning a degree and getting a bulls**t job slaving away for The Man. So imagine my delight when I received the call that I was in the program! It was perfect timing too -- I was this close to hanging myself at work with a silk charmeuse tunic tie.
I didn’t have a job working with the stylists on the first episode, so it was nice to watch without cringing in embarrassment about all the stupid s**t I inevitably do on set. But as an innocent bystander, there were a couple standout moments that jumped out at me as I was watching…
Do you ever wonder what happened to DJ Jazzy Jeff? Neither do I, but it seems he has an illegitimate white child by the name of Brett Alan Nelson running around town, biting his steez hardcore.
Am I not the only one that was secretly wishing there was a bright blue propeller at the top of his hat? I bet not!
