If you like Twitter and heart The Hills, you'll love our late Friday edition of the Hills Twitter roundup! After the jump, find out what's got Justin Bobby pre-programming his DVR, Lauren Conrad snickering under her breath and Lo Bosworth trying to decide between a sequined ball gown and a pair of sweatpants
'Member when we told you The Hills' very own Stephanie Pratt was gonna be featured in Hot Chelle Rae's new music video? Well, now you can check 'er out for yourself! Watch as the multi-talented Hillzie goes from chic to geek (and gets reamed out by the boss!) in HCR's Cobra Starshippy pop anthem "I Like To Dance," plus read more about the band -- and their brand-new album, Lovesick Electric -- on MTV's Buzzworthy blog. Now, take it away, Steph!
We saw so many great tweets from our Hillzies this week, so we thought we'd give you a peek at some of our faves! Find out what's got Steph Pratt saying she's sorry, Audrina Patridge gushing over Heidi Pratt and Lauren Conrad all a-twitter about the new love of her life. Read 'em and weep in this week's all-Hills edition of MTV Tweets of the Week!
Believe it or not, it wasn't hate at first sight for Audrina Patridge and her Hills rivalKristin Cavallari. In fact, 'Drina had seen K-Cav around town long before Speidi's wedding (a.k.a. the night Kristin made come-and-get-me eyes at a pre-manscaped Justin Bobby). Even weirder? She actually thought they'd be gal pals!
"I met Kristin a few years ago when I was with Justin," Audrina told OK! magazine this week. "She was dating one of his friends, we were all at the same party, and I was like, 'Wow, this girl is really cool.' And then she came on the show, and I thought we were going to be friends." And they almost were! 'Til Audrina's future bestie went after her ex.
"I was in love with Justin and Kristin knew that," 'Drina pointed out. "For her to go after that one guy…" Well, as Liz Lemon would say on 30 Rock, "that's a dealbreaker, ladies!"
Kristin Cavallari hasn't exactly been gunning for the sympathy vote. The tough-talkin' Laguna chick (known even back then as 'the bitch') blew into Hillsville with all the sensitivity of a Category 4 hurricane. But somewhere in between throwing down with Stephanieand going after Audrina's ex, we wondered whether we were starting to see some cracks in her shiny veneer.
Consider the evidence: First, K-Cav got super-duper defensive (and, okay, a little aggressive) when the girls questioned her motives with Justin. Then, she seriously took it to heart when 'Drina failed to show up for their last-minute lunch date. And finally -- and, perhaps, most tellingly -- Kristin's spent the past couple weeks pretending she doesn't care one iota about Justin Bobby. The only problem? She's totally lying.
Audrina Patridge isn't the only Hillzie who's got the inside scoop on up-and-coming new artists. Last week, Stephanie Pratt took time outta her busy feuding-with-Kristin-Cavallari schedule to film a cameo for Hot Chelle Rae's new video, "I Like To Dance." And in her (negligibly) unbiased opinion, these guys have major hit potential.
"ok not because i have a new crush on the band but for real i can't stop playing 'I Like to Dance,'" Steph tweeted shortly after filming wrapped. And we're kinda inclined to agree. Not only is the four-man electro pop squad easy on the eyes ('specially you, Ian!) but they have an edgy, punk rock sound that calls to mind some type of retro, Queen-inspired mash-up between Franz Ferdinand and Panic! at the Disco.
So check out these pix of Spencer's sis bonding with the band (love the leather, lady!), then hit up the guys' official site to get the latest scoop on their first-evs album, Lovesick Electric, which hits stores Tuesday, Oct. 27! Oh, and check back soon to watch Steph's scene-stealin' cameo! (Uh, in the meantime, help kill time by watching Spencer get his faced punched in Fall Out Boy's "I Don't Care.")
Initially, Lo joined Stephanie and Audrinain assuming the worst about Kristin Cavallari. But from the looks of it, Lo and K-Cav are already starting to become all buddy-buddy! After grabbing lunch on the show (sans 'Drina) this week, the Laguna-turned-Hills gals were spotted chowing down again at L.A.'s Bread Bar yesterday afternoon. Hmm, could this be the beginning (er, continuation) of a beautiful friendship?
In other spottings ... Since her roomie was otherwise indisposed, Lauren Conrad spent her sunny afternoon solo, easing the pain of Lo's betrayal (we kid, we kid!) by doin' some shopping in West Hollywood. Check out these pics of LC out and about yesterday, plus peep other shots of Speidi spending some quality couples time at Louis Vuitton last week.
Who ever said guys like a chase? Justin Bobby and Kristin Cavallari are officially the scandy new couple on The Hills, with their first date a smashing success (Eye contact! Sexual innuendo! No audible burping!) and a steamy makeout sesh on the horizon. But as easy as Kristin made it look to land a man, we recently got some intel that JB wasn't digging the Laguna implant right off the bat.
To be fair, he wasn't not digging her either. The semi-aloof, newly crowned heartthrob of The Hills just wasn't paying much attention. (Now that's exactly what every gal yearns to hear!)
Check out this video of Justin talking about his cloudy first impression of K-Cav, plus after the jump, hear Stephanie unload about le byotch's dramatic entrance at Speidi's wedding ceremony.
Sure, she's spent the past few seasons of The Hills trying to force Heidi and Lauren to kiss and make up. But for all her meddling, Stephanie's always been the kinder, gentler Pratt, a sensitive soul who's prone to tearful outbursts, saucer-eyed enthusiasm and using boyfriends as bodyguards. That is, until tonight.
Forget Kristin's dramatic debut -- this week, the biggest change in Hills country was Steph herself, who came back louder, fiercer and a bazillion times more self-confident than we've ever seen her before. In less than 30 minutes' time, the fiercely loyal gal pal had already staunchly defended Audrina, stood up to the profanity-spewing Kristin and even branded her a "bad news" boyfriend-stealer who once slapped beloved Hills goddess Lauren Conrad!
Kelly Cutrone isn't just the lippy lady who scared the pants off Stephanie Pratt (and The City's Allie Crandell) -- she's also the head honcho over at People's Revolution, one of the most powerful PR firms in the fashion biz. And since we all know Kelly runs a tight ship, we thought we'd give you guys a chance to hit her with your biggest, burningest career-type questions.
Wanna know how to ace that first interview? Make your resume stand out? Get on her good side (like Whit) and avoid getting fired in front of the entire office (like Steph)? Leave your questions in the comments and we'll ask as many as we can when we sit down with Kelly next week. And remember: play nice.*
