Angela and Vanessa are back for a brand-new season of Daddy's Girls! And the Pastry biz is sweeter than ever, thanks to Jess' amazing managerial skills. But now that the girls are dreaming big, they'll have to work even harder to stay on top. Which means NO distractions! Well, except for their friend Lynn. And Vanessa's new boyfriend. And Angela's childhood bestie. (And her little dog, too.)

Fortch, the girls still have Rev Run to call on in a pinch, plus plenty of other things (did we mention Vanessa's new boyfriend??) to keep them busy. So check out what's going down on DG and tune in August 11th at 10pm for the Season Two premiere!

The show might be called Run's House, but that doesn't mean Rev Run's the only Simmons who knows how to rock a rhyme that's right on time. Turns out, rapping's not just a recessive gene after all! And while we're by no means suggesting that EVERY son, daughter or illegitimate child of a rapper grab the mic (take note, Vanilla Ice Jr.!), we ARE saying JoJo's most definitely inherited his daddy's slow-jammin' skillz.

Check out "Gotta Have Her," (a.k.a. the new video from JoJo and his squad, Team Blackout) and watch as Rev Run's eldest son represents for rap royalty -- and proves he was seriously born to spit verse.

Rev Run might be a little bit overprotective of Angela and Vanessa, but no matter how many times he calls/faxes/Blackberry texts them, the girls always seem to answer.

Sure, there were a few good-natured eye rolls this week (mostly from Justine, who told her husband to "leave the girls alone") but mostly, Angie and 'Ness were happy to placate dear old dad with super-detailed emails about their West Coast adventures.

But after watching the first week of Angela and Vanessa's new family-oriented spinoff, we want to know who's the biggest 'Daddy's Girl' of all! Take our poll and let us know which of Rev. Run's doting daughters you think is the most daddy-centric.

They say that Empty Nest Syndrome is more common in mothers than fathers, but Rev Run seemed to be taking his girls' move to L.A. a lot harder than Justine during tonight's Daddy's Girls premiere.

In case you couldn't read between the bolded, neon lines, Daddy's having a hard time letting go of his not-so-little-anymore ladies, which is why he's taking any chance he can get to call/write/BBM and UPS every item in the house that reminds him of Angela and Vanessa. Next week's special delivery: their baby teeth, 5th grade report cards, old scrunchies and some pepper spray.

+What's your opinion about Rev Run's constant calling, etc.? Should he save the smothering for his children who are still at home, or is he absolutely in the right to check up on his girls so often? Take our poll and tell us: Does Daddy need to back off??

Trust us -- when your pop's Rev Run, there ain't nothin' wrong with being a daddy's girl. And now that Angela and Vanessa Simmons are about to strike out on their own, we've decided to take a look back at where they came from by rounding up the top five best things about growing up in Run's House.

1) You've known all the words to 'It's Tricky' since you were practically in utero.
2) Everyone has a crazy uncle -- but yours is Russell Simmons!
3) If there's anyone who gets your lifelong fascination with shoes, it's your daddy: Rev "Unlaced Adidas" Run.
4) Forget borrowing your parents' car -- you were too busy borrowing their Rolodex. Which, incidentally, had WAY more mileage.
5) Being grounded is no biggie when you live in a beyond-gorge estate with your own room movie screening room and indoor basketball court). Ya dig?

And, of course, let's not forget Bonus Reason #6: Graduating from The House That Run Built to their very own spinoff series!

Check out the premiere of Daddy's Girls on MTV tonight at 10:30pm, and watch what happens when the girls start living the dream! (By which we mean move into a sick bachelorette pad in sunny L.A. ... 3000 miles away from Mom and Dad.)

By now, you've probably heard that Rev. Run's daughters, bicoastal beauties Angela and Vanessa Simmons, are starring in their very own MTV spinoff! The new series, Daddy's Girls, will follow the sneaker sisters as they ditch the parentals -- and move from New York to L.A. (just like The City, only the opposite!)

With all the celebrity kids out there trying to cash in on their famous last names (Kelly "Daughter of Ozzy" Osbourne, anyone?) it's refreshing to see that some "daughters of" are trying to make it on their own.

Take, for example, Vanessa "Daughter of Rev. Run" Simmons, who recently entered the Miss California USA pageant under the pseudonym "Vanessa Jean." Sadly, she didn't win the crown (that went to Deal or No Deal model Carrie Prejean) but we think she's a shoo-in for Miss Independent -- or else Least Stuck-Up Celeb Spawn.

So we say, congratulations, 'Nessa Jean! Win or lose, you did it all on your own -- and we have a feeling the Rev. is one proud papa...
