It's not easy being the most fashionable girl in the room, but City star Olivia Palermo makes it look almost effortless. Her secret? Style, sophistication and, of course, invites to all the hottest parties in town. This week, Liv popped by five (count 'em, FIVE) different VIP venues, showing off a whirlwind of fall essentials (think: flashy fishnets, leather leggings and faux-fur vests) and makin' the rounds with everyone from her sweetie, Johannes Huebl, to her fashion bestie, Marc Jacobs.

Check out these pix of Liv working it on the red carpet (watch out for Huebl's razor-sharp cheekbones up top!), plus take a look at three of her most envy-inspiring looks.

Olivia Palermo's never tried to hide the fact that she likes living the high life. From namedropping her fashion connections ('member her BFF, Manolo Blahnik?) to bashing hipsters (eww, Plaid Mafia) to lording over her luxurious, Park Avenue apartment, Liv's always struck us as the poster child for "money is no object."

But just cuz she's got cash to burn doesn't mean she's willing to throw it away -- especially when designer knockoffs are so cheap! As Look.co.uk reported, the so-called "social" has been accenting her outfits with accessories from Zara and TopShop (the Brit equivalent of H&M).

Olivia "I hang with Marc Jacobs" Palermo in mainstream retail? Holy recessionista!

Yesterday, we saw Olivia Palermo skipping around town with her Marc Jacobs shopping bags. Today, she's taken her MJ obsession a step further: posing for pics with the designer himself! Check out these fab shots of Liv looking voluptuous in violet -- and awfully cozy -- with DVF's competition.

Meanwhile, peep these pics of Erin Lucas rocking a flowy, tutu-like skirt earlier this week. From the looks of those perfectly tousled tresses, this gal clearly travels with her own portable wind machine. Either that or she just wakes up naturally gorgeous. (Given our lifelong battle with the frizz, we prefer to believe the former.)
