Lauren Conrad at the second annual Autumn Party in Hollywood.
As much of the Twittersphere banded together on Wednesday to wish Lauren Conrad a happy 26th birthday, we were surprised to see that former "Hills" villain Spencer Pratt tossed a few congratulatory messages in her direction. One even included the hashtag #forgiveandforget!
We were curious how Lauren would feel about Spencer trying to reconnect over the webs, and an article on UsMagazine.com suggests that she found it tres tacky. "Lauren loves using Twitter to interact with her fans and promote her brands," the site's source says, "but obviously she doesn't think it's an effective way to apologize or try to mend bridges." Guess that means we won't see an LC + Speidi tweet-a-thon anytime soon.
Elsewhere, Mandi, who found herself a victim of Vinny's Spring Break-like behavior on this week's "Exes," wanted to reiterate her disapproval following the episode. Under no condition would she find his action acceptable, guys. Even if she were wearing assless chaps.
Check out what they and other MTV stars were up to this week:

Lauren Conrad gleams with pride during a book signing of "L.A.Candy."
Audrina Patridge hinted to "Hills" fans last month that there could--possibly--be a movie in the works, and while we're all eagerly waiting to find out whether there's any truth to that statement, that might not be the only exciting project ex-Hillzies have coming down the pike.
Lauren Conrad might--possibly--be turning her highly successful book series, "L.A. Candy," into a full-blown TV series, despite previous rumors that it was headed for the big screen. During an interview with SheKnows.com, LC told the site that, "It will not be a movie. We are exploring options in television."
+ What do you think about the chance of Lauren's novel coming to life across multiple episodes? Is that more exciting than seeing her work on the silver screen? Sound off in the comments!

Earlier this morning we learned that Lauren Conrad, whose empire continues to grow at an astounding rate, locked down a writing gig at Forbes Lifestyle. She'll be sharing her tips on how to successfully run a business and website, write a book and produce a fashion line (not all at once, we hope). Since we're simply in awe of her burgeoning career (and slightly curious about why so many of her former costars are now on the self-help circuit), we've rounded up other past "Hills" casties who've dabbled in the advice game.
Spencer Pratt
Roughly two years ago, sharp-tongued Spencer hung up his reality star towel and took a stab at being a columnist. He nabbed a spot on the writing roster at Nerve.com, serving up tasty dating advice to lovestruck readers. (And who can forget his life-changing instructional guide, "How To Be Famous"?...it's probably to blame for the birth of Sparah!)
Whitney Port
The fashion-forward designer wrote an advice book for her peers called "True Whit: Designing A Life Of Style, Beauty And Fun," in which she spilled all of her precious beauty and home furnishing secrets, like how to decorate on a budget.
Lo Bosworth
After joining Twitter, Lo became addicted to connecting with fans and talking to them about her tried-and-true makeup tips. Soon after, Lo developed a larger platform to engage with interested readers called TheLoDown.com, a website brimming with helpful life tips for young women.
Kelly Cutrone
When wasn't the brazen boss lady putting in her two cents about better/smarter/quicker ways that her colleagues and subordinates could be doing things? Her sassy self-help book, aptly titled, "If You Have To Cry, Go Outside...And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You," is the "Art Of War" for the fashion set.

MTV may have pulled the plug on Lauren Conrad's reality show, but she's a go-getter and nothing's going to stop her from building a wildly influential empire. According to UsMagazine.com, the former "Hills" star turned designer/author just locked in another three-book deal (her style guide and third novel, "Sugar and Spice," hit the shelves back in October) with HarperCollins! So what's LC writing about this time?
According to the website, her series is called "The Fame Game." It will focus on the reality TV world and a conniving character from LC's first series, Madison Parker. "We took the mean girl of the [L.A. Candy books], spinning her off," Conrad tells the site."This series is about a girl who loves everything that fame is, and that's all she's ever really wanted."
Before you even start to draw parallels, LC swears her characters aren't based off anyone: "No. We have fun with it! We kind of take [Hollywood] stereotypes."

Earlier this week, we reported a rumor that ex-"Hills" star-turned-author-turned-fashion designer Lauren Conrad might actually return to reality TV, so we took it upon ourselves to drum up some concepts for her next gig. Ya know, just in case she's not sure what she wants to do. Take a look and tell us what you think of these options:
1. JUDGE ON "PROJECT RUNWAY"
Lauren's already a successful designer, so maybe she should sit alongside Michael Kors and provide the contestants secrets for how to reach the big time. She has all the right credentials: working on her Kohl's collection with ex-"Project Runway" contestant Ra'mon Lawrence Coleman AND guest judging "America's Next Top Model."
2. TALK SHOW HOST
Even though Lauren's roommate, Lo, has aspirations of doing the same thing, LC would be great at getting her guests to gab about personal moments. Let's review her strong points: She doesn't stand for the bull, has no problem holding back her opinions when it comes to "sucky people" and doles out fabulous put-you-in-your-place one-liners (who can forget her famous "so I want to forgive you, and I want to forget you" speech?).
3. "DANCING WITH THE STARS" CONTESTANT
She can join forces with Audrina Patridge and show off everything she learned at the Crillon Ball in Paris. It would be fun to see LC out of her element, completely covered in bronzer and glitter. (Can you imagine -- even though they don't pair stars up together -- if she danced with "The Situation"?).
4. JOIN "THE CITY"
Isn't it time that Lauren left the Hollywood Hills and moved to Manhattan, the city that'll make you or break you (even though the girl's already made it by a mile)? She'll reconnect with Whit, get a workshop where the two can sketch their designs and just power her way through the mean streets of New York City (ooh, and maybe even use her sharp-tongue skills to tell Olivia Palermo off).

If any of the cast members can say they left "The Hills" on a positive note, it's Lauren Conrad. Since her graceful exit in 2009, she's kept busy penning two books ("L.A. Candy" and "Sweet Little Lies"), launching a fashion line and now--according to an article in the latest issue of Us Weekly--possibly even returning to TV. "[Lauren] is getting her own reality show, and networks have been fighting over it," the magazine's source revealed.
So can Lauren confirm the gossip? Kind of but not really. (Girl's so talented at evading direct questions!) She would say that her romantic life with long-term boyfriend Kyle Howard is boring, and if she were to do another show, she'd only want to film her career. She told the mag, "We never do anything gossip-worthy anyway. My professional life is more interesting."
While it seems like Lauren's post-"Hills" life has gotten even more fabulous, she's still incredibly appreciative of her role in the series. "Without [the show], I'd still be working in fashion, but I wouldn't have my own line. I'd have a much smaller apartment--and a lot less clothes."

Ex-"Hills" castie Lauren Conrad is always a major trendsetter, and this week she tried to bring back '50s glamour by posting a photo of her bad self rocking a major throwback beehive (we totally love it!). Her former bestie Heidi Montag, who is still traipsing around in Costa Rica, had a nightmare that she slept sans protective nose tape, and Kristin Cavallari had no problem telling peeps she was in Chi-town visiting her new football boo.

Former Hillzie Lauren Conrad might enjoy rocking nerd specs around L.A., but in Las Vegas she packed up her geek glasses and whipped out a pair of oversize retro-inspired sunnies. Over the weekend, she showed off her summer style to the Tao Beach crowd in a sheer dark green cover-up, black bikini and flip-flops. Later, she grabbed her phone and tweeted about her day: "@taobeach with some besties for the @hpnotiqnite party! :-)"
+ What do you think of LC's poolside ensemble? Did she totally turn up the heat or was her 'fit a boring belly flop? Sound off in the comments!

We haven't seen much of Lauren Conrad since her highly anticipated return to Hillsville a few weeks ago. At the finale party, she rubbed shoulders with old friends and updated peeps on her future plans (she's kicking off her double book tour in a few months), and then LC swiftly returned to her off-the-grid lifestyle in Los Angeles. Still, a girl's gotta get her shop on once in a while. Yesterday, the paps caught up with her as she finished up a spree at Herve Leger, dressed like a bit of a bookworm in some totally fab masculine-framed glasses. While the rest of her outfit was classic LC (laid-back cutoff shorts, flip-flops and a gray hoodie), the specs and luscious Rapunzel-esque locks sold us on the ensemble.
+ What do you think of Lauren's retail therapy style? Too casual, or is this the LC you know and love? Give us your fashion review!

People tuned in to last night's boo hoo finale of "The Hills" for a couple of reasons: Dedicated fans had to know what, if anything, would come of Kristin Cavallari and Brody Jenner's iffy relationship, and longtime Lauren Conrad supporters couldn't wait to see her reunite with the cast at the party. While the night marked a momentous yet bittersweet conclusion for Season 6 Hillzies (make sure you check out each cast member's personal goodbye message to "Hills" devotees), LC was all about kicking back and having fun!
Check out the video below, where Conrad says she's so happy to have been able to return and catch up with the cast and crew. As for her current day-to-day life, she's completely adjusted to being off camera and is getting ready for her double book tour slated to kick off in October.
