As glam as celebrity styling looks from the outside, there are approximately 5,000 things that could go wrong at any given moment. So when Jen Rade was asked about some of her greatest challenges as a stylist, she wasted no time rattling off a veritable laundry list of complaints potential probs. Up there among her nightmare scenarios? Last-minute surprises (think one-half of Chester French wanting to wear a dress!), trouble tracking items down and the dangers of not knowing your client's size (hope you're listening, Cody/Tara!). Hear what else gets the MMA superstar fashionably flustered, plus listen in as the rest of the senior staffers (and junior assistants) share their biggest styling woes.
Throughout this season of Styl'D, the junior assistants will be watching each episode and blogging about their reactions. Below, check out what Tara wrote after seeing Episode 3.

I was so terrified to work with Jen Rade. She is one of the top stylists in the fashion industry so it is definitely intimidating to work with someone so successful in my dream job. Additionally, I had just seen her rip Gary a new ass**le so I was going into this assignment thinking, ‘Okay, no talking and no trying to f**k the clients.’
Watching the Chester French job was really hard for me. I just wanted to reach through the screen and shake myself. I clammed up and hid in a corner the entire time. I was hoping to stay in Jen’s good graces, but I became really self-conscious and doubted my every move. I wasn’t bringing creativity or anything at all to the table. At the time, I felt like there was nothing I could do to be proactive, but watching now, I could have performed 1000% better by speaking up and being more confident.
You already heard that fashionista extraordinaire Jen Rade has super strong feelings about your bra. But did you know she's equally passionate about vintage clothes, "people at the mall" and (wait for it!) pretty colored flowers? Listen up as the MMA Senior Stylist talks about what gets her mojo running, and Junior Assistants Brett and Tara chime in about how music rocks their worlds -- and their wardrobes -- every single day.
Jen Rade makes a living helping celebs look her best, but you don't have to be a Kardashian to benefit from her fashion expertise. So what advice does the MMA senior stylist -- and Styl'D's resident Kelly Cutrone -- have for us regular gals? Ditch the granny bras, snuggle up to some cashmere and show your denim some love. Hear what other style staples get the Jen Rade stamp of approval (think fun necklaces and LBDs), and listen up as she 'splains why it all starts with a good over-the-shoulder boulder holder.

So, a quick disclaimer … I’m a little scatterbrained, as you can see from the first episode. Let's just say there's a constant and consistent flow of things going on in my head. (Right now, I’m seriously thinking about how I need to hang the art in my kitchen). You can expect a lot of this in my blogging, so stick close, grab a diet soda of your choice and get ready for the nitty-gritty!
PASSION: Live it, love it, be it. There is one thing for all of us that makes us feel most alive, that makes us thrive -- it’s that one thing that when you're living it, you are at your happiest. My passion is styling. I've been styling from the time I was five years old, from putting outfits together for my mom straight out of her closet to dressing my girlfriends for high school social activities. Let’s be serious, what wouldn’t I love about what I do? By creating new, innovative and chic ways to wear clothes, I'm fully able to express my current state of mind. I only have one rule, and it's simple: KIP KIS -- "Keep it pretty, and keep it simple."
OK, now on to Episode 1 of Styl'D.

You're going to want to remember the name Jen Rade. Not only is she one of the senior stylists in MTV's new series, Styl'D, but she's also got that scary (yet super-duper awesome) boss lady vibe reminiscent of The City's beloved Kelly Cutrone. And there's nothing we like seeing better than a well-dressed, take-no-BS woman in charge. (P.S. This one wears color!)
Before Styl'd premieres on Sunday (10pm), get to know a little more about Ms. Rade in the video below, plus click here to meet the other senior stylists on the show!
