The energy on Stage 23 was electric Tuesday night while taping the last ABDC competition of the season. We caught up with JC before curtain call to see what he was expecting — check out the video below to hear him talk about the even playing field.

Remember, during the show tonight, voting is open the ENTIRE time. So make sure to call, text, click, whatever… and “Vote right!” as the kids are sayin’.

During last week’s bottom two elimination, JC had some strong words for SoReal Cru about their performance. And in our video interview below, the crew react to the criticism just minutes after the show. What’s really weird, most of them didn’t actually hear what JC said while they were standing on stage — the sound wasn’t getting pumped into the back loudly enough! I had to be the bearer of bad news, which was no fun job for me…

Once again it’s back to work for the remaining two crews… this is their last week to create an unforgettable routine! In the picture above, SoReal Cru watches a video of the ‘world music’ dances they’ll have to perform for the finale. They’re focused on getting their moves down perfectly, though it’s easy to see that JC’s comments last night ticked them off — and filled them with uncertainty. Hopefully they can shake their nerves in time to battle Super Cr3w!

It seemed to be the mantra of every troop this season, but today I overheard SoReal Cru say, “We’re just going to continue to be true to ourselves.” Not a bad idea, considering they’ve got so many loyal fans.

Three amazing dance crews compete tonight to see who will go head-to-head in the ABDC finale. What are your predictions? In the video below, JC and Shane share their thoughts about what’s currently at stake. And once again, Shane promises he won’t be holding back during judges’ panel: “Sometimes you gotta hurt someone’s feelings for them to grow.” Uh, sure, you stupid jerk.

Get ready for a major blast from the past as ABDC brings you the 80’s and early 90’s in all it’s tacky glory. Word to your mother.

JC and Shane had much to say backstage when we caught up with them before this week’s taping. JC told us that Fanny Pak’s performance last week was their worst, but that SoReal stepped it up and they no longer make him nauseous. Shane was impressed by the Boogie Bots. On top of everything, both guys were feeling honored (and excited like little kids) to be doing their judging duties next to Missy Elliott. Note to JC: Hef called, he wants his metal ascot back.

What are your predictions for tonight? Which crew deserves to STAY, and which just needs to GO already?

Despite the pic above, it wasn’t all hugs for JC last night. After one of the earlier performances, Shane delivered a rave review while JC delivered a bit of a dis! While he applauded this particular crew’s effort, he had to say, “I didn’t think it was difficult at all.”

The drama escalated when Shane started naming off the many “difficult” moves he noticed, to which JC responded, “And that’s hard?” Burn!

Another big moment came when one crew received a standing ovation from all of the judges, including Missy Elliott. It’s the first time that’s happened this season, but after the episode airs Thursday night, we have a feeling it may become a regular occurrence.

JC refuses to candy-coat his opinions of the ABDC routines each week. In fact, he didn’t candy-coat his response to why he’s so blunt all the time (see video below).

He expects to be booed by fans more often than not, but will continue to stick to his guns by offering up what he considers honest and thoughtful reviews. What do you think about JC’s judging? Count to 10 before you comment (I learned that in anger management, thought I’d pass it on…)

Think you were pissy that Supreme Soul got booted off ABDC tonight? Well, JC told us all three judges were REALLY PO’ed it had to happen: “To have those two crews in the bottom two, two out of the last three weeks, just really didn’t make sense to me.” So the real question remains, “Where were all the Supreme Soul supporters this week?”

On tonight’s ABDC, keep your eyes peeled for lotsa creative uses of props — so much will be going on at once, you’re either gonna need a DVR or a third eye!
