Over the years, we've watched as Diddy worked his magic on Day26, turned Danity Kane into a super group and catapulted Donnie Klang's solo career. But with his new show, Making His Band, Diddy's shifting the focus back onto himself, spotlighting his journey as an artist -- and chronicling his search for the ultimate backup band.
And with the exception of Dawn Richard (who makes an appearance later on this season!), there's no DK (or Day26ers) anywhere to be found.
So will y'all still be watching? Take our poll and let us know whether you guys will tune in to see Diddy do his thing.
+ Missed the MHB series premiere? Watch it online now then tell us what you think!

When you're busy building a Bad Boy empire, there isn't always time to coddle the talent. And over the years, Diddy hasn't been afraid to deflate egos, chew out divas-in-training or even pull the plug (ahem, Danity Kane) on a bad investment. And while no one's doubting his talent-scouting abilities (he's been Making The Band since '02!), not everyone's willing to drop everything and fetch him some cheesecake.
And since he's about to put together another group (this time, a backup band for his Last Train To Paris tour), we thought we'd find out whether you guys would be willing to put your lives, careers and sanity in the hands of the evil, diabolical genius undisputed industry giant. Think you could hack it as one of Diddy's underlings? Take the poll and let us know whether you'd sign up for Making His Band boot camp!

When Danity Kane officially disbanded (as in for REALZ for realz, on the Making The Band 4 Live Finale), Dawn Richard surprised fans with talk of her latest project: another gig working for Diddy! No, she's not bringing DK back (at least, not unless the other four members all sign on) but she IS getting ready to show off her vocal chops as one half of the brand-new duo, Dirty Money.
Hear how the Bad Boy himself described Dawn's role on his upcoming album, Last Train to Paris, plus get the MTV News scoop on when this train's scheduled to leave the station. (As of now, our best guess is sometime this summer year millennium.)

First, she bared her boobies in Playboy. Then, she passed on becoming the next Tila Tequila. And now, one-time Danity Kaner Aubrey O'Day's got her biggest news yet: she's moving to Vegas (baby, Vegas!) to become the real-life vershe of Nomi Malone!*
Yep, as MTV News confirmed, Aubrey will officially take over as mistress of ceremonies for the popular Vegas stage show "Peepshow" (which co-stars fellow Playmate-turned-thespian Holly Madison). And she won't be traveling alone. Not only will Aubs (undoubtedly) come with her spray-painted pooch in tow, but she'll be bringing along a camera crew to document her every move, note and jiggle.
And judging by the show's description -- the choreography's said to resemble a "high-level production" strip tease -- we're thinking she just might have a(nother) hit on her hands.
*Elizabeth Berkley's character in Showgirls (a.k.a. the best/worst movie ever).

If Michael Jackson's memorial brought tears to your eyes yesterday, you certainly weren't alone. Emotions ran high throughout the ceremony (even Mariah Carey was choking back sobs!), and tons of celebs took to their Twitters to commemorate the passing of one of music's greatest superstars.
Needless to say, Michael's fellow artists were among those hit hardest by his passing. Among those grieving in the pop community? Danity Kane's Dawn Richard and Aubrey O'Day, and Day26's Willie Taylor (borrowing a few words from Tyrese Gibson). After the jump, read their final farewells and feel free to add your own in the comments!

These days, it's easier than ever to pick up a tabloid, head over to TMZ and find out anything and everything you wanna know about your favorite celebs. But somehow, Danity Kane managed to hide the behind-the-scenes drama from their fans right up until the moment the group called it quits. And now, their Making the Band brothers (a.k.a. Day26) admit that might've been a major mistake.

We know, we know, Aubrey O'Day's already got her own show, and she's described it as a singing, dancing, music-making extravaganza. But that doesn't means Aubs isn't already thinking about her next role. And according to E! Online, the Danity Kane departee is eying a part on ABC's hit reality series, Dancing With the Stars. "I hope they ask me to [go on the show]," she gushed to reporters, promising "I'll win if I do it."
+ Sure, we've seen Aubs pick up choreography in the past. But does she still have all the right moves? Take our poll and let us know whether the DWTS hopeful can waltz outta there with first prize!

After watching last night's Danity Kane retrospective, we're even more confused than ever about what ultimately caused the split. Was it Aubrey's supposed rift with Aundrea (or her very public feud with Diddy)? D. Woods' long rumored desire to go solo? Dawn's budding relationship with Que? All of the above??
Fact is, watching the drama unfold all over again didn't clear things up so much as remind us how much magic Danity Kane had when all five girls were actually on the same page.
Which made us wonder: what's DK's legacy? The explosive breakup? The girls? Their two number one albums? Now that their wild ride is finally over, tell us what you'll remember most about The Rise and Fall of Danity Kane.

No matter how many times Sway pushed and prodded at the live Making the Band finale, none of the Danity Kane girls had a definitive answer as to why they split. (Side note: Their first-ever agreement!) In fact, the only one who even came close was D. Woods, who admitted there were cracks in the foundation from day one.
And since the problems (evidently) started around the same time as the now-defunct girl group, we're thinking a behind-the-scenes look at DK's backstage struggles might help explain how things went from bad to worse.
Get a closer look at the events leading up to the split -- and peep some new, never-before-seen footage -- by catching The Rise and Fall of Danity Kane Thursday at 9pm. It's what Diddy would've wanted.

Forget all that shiz Sway was sayin' about how Aubrey's kinda, sorta to blame for Danity Kane's demise. In case y'all forget, girl didn't just wake up one morning and decide she was gonna quit the band -- she was FIRED. In front of everyone. (Last live Making the Band finale, anyone??)
Plus, in spite of everything that went down, Aubs still says she'd looooooove to get the group back together! Hear why she's still hoping to share the stage with her fellow DK-ers, if they'll have her.
Meanwhile, 'member when Puff told Dawn he was keeping her around -- and floated the idea of bringing in four new gals to help her rebuild DK? Well, even though Diddy dismissed that plan last night (promising fans it would never, ever happen!), we wanted to know how Dawn felt about moving forward without her Danity girls. Turns out, she was against it from the start ...
