Jessica's always been the kinda girl who can kick it with the guys. But when she decided she was ready for some one-on-one time with Shawn off the court, she went to her old pal (and flirtiest friend) Lynn for some girly advice -- and a lesson in how to "hooker" up her hook shot. Turns out, she should've stuck with her original game plan! When Shawn finally DID wise up and ask her out, he told Jess he'd noticed her long before she broke out the lycra catsuit. (D'oh!)

+ Think Jess needs any more advice on how to play pickup? Or is she better off being herself -- and embracing that sexy, tomboy thing she's got goin' on? Take the poll and tell us whether you think Jess needs to put on a full court press (and some booty shorts) if she wants to get noticed!

It's not easy to go from casual wear to VMA glam. And since we loves us a good success story, we gave the Simmons sistahs (and, of course, Jess) a flip-cam to give y'all a behind-the-scenes look at their beautification process. Watch Angela, Vanessa and Jess scramble for the camera, show off their designer duds (Pastry, anyone??) and make their way down to Radio City. Then after the jump, hear the Daddy's Girls sound off about their sexy red carpet style.

Shawna might've started out tonight's episode looking for a replacement boyfriend but she ended up learning there are plenty of fish in the sea! And by crashing the Jewish singles' event -- don't judge, girl's gotta date! -- she ended up schmoozing a cute young Italian fella who promised to take her out next Friday night (a.k.a. Shabbos). Best of all? She even found a new Man(ischewitz) for Jess! Mazel tov on the double date, ladies! Feel free to kibbutz (that means dish the dirt) the next day!

During her brief stint in L.A., Danielle managed to renew her bad blood with Vanessa, piss off her roommate Jess and lash out at her old pal Angela. Then again, it wasn't entirely her fault. Angela should've given her sister fair warning, Vanessa could've tried harder to make her feel welcome and Jess might've been a little hasty in telling her to sleep on the couch. So who's to blame for the Danielle debacle? We've rounded up the usual suspects -- take the poll and tell us who's the guiltiest party!

When we first heard Angela and Vanessa were going camping, we (admittedly) had our doubts. But while their cooking could use a little work (FYI, that is NOT how you make fried fish!), we think the girls actually did great. Especially considering Vanessa's idea of "roughing it" still includes a crimping iron.

And while Danielle's name might've come up once or twice (or three times, counting Jess/Brian's surprise visit), the girls managed to put the drama aside to focus on more important things. Like how to start forest fires -- and bat their eyelashes at the friendly park rangers.

And, sure, they cut a few corners here and there (i.e. bringing their own salads/camping trailers), but for the most part, Angela, 'Ness and the girls got down with nature. And thanks to Lynn, a.k.a. "the human GPS," they even made it home in one piece!

Angela and Vanessa are back for a brand-new season of Daddy's Girls! And the Pastry biz is sweeter than ever, thanks to Jess' amazing managerial skills. But now that the girls are dreaming big, they'll have to work even harder to stay on top. Which means NO distractions! Well, except for their friend Lynn. And Vanessa's new boyfriend. And Angela's childhood bestie. (And her little dog, too.)

Fortch, the girls still have Rev Run to call on in a pinch, plus plenty of other things (did we mention Vanessa's new boyfriend??) to keep them busy. So check out what's going down on DG and tune in August 11th at 10pm for the Season Two premiere!

Spotted: Angela Simmons, wearing coke-bottle glasses and dressing like Mary Katherine Gallagher. So has she turned into a fashion victim overnight? Dream on! It's all just part of her master plan. Watch the Pastry cutie (and unabashed Daddy's Girl) get her nerd on in this new sneaker-themed ad (slash-music video) and keep your eyes peeled for cameos from Vanessa, Alicia and Jess. Holla atcha girls!

Pastry Presents Angela Simmons in "Center Of Attention"

In case you missed the memo (or the giant imaginary parade we threw in our minds), Daddy's Girls has been renewed for another glorious season! Which means you'll have lots more time to see Angela and Jess mind their bizness, admire Alycia's fingerless gloves/miniskirts and watch Jessica down chocolate milkshakes in a crazy/misguided effort to transform herself into JLo.

As much as we loved crashing the girls' Pastry Party this week (and joining Angela, Vanessa, Jess and Alycia on their trip down Memory Lane), we couldn't help but think they'd left out a few of the more memorable moments from their Season 1 recap.

And so, in the interest of closure, we've decided to help them out by offering up our Five All-Time Favorite Daddy's Girls Moments. Find out what made us laugh, cry and run out and buy Day-Glo sweatsuits, after the jump.

We have no idea whether Jess and Alycia (a.k.a. Angela and Vanessa's new West Coast besties) call/write/text home 24/7 like (ahem) some gals we know, but the fact that they hang with Rev Run's doting daughters makes them honorary Daddy's Girls in our book.

And since we're all about friendly competition here, we figured we'd celebrate the end of Season 1 (sniff, sniff!) by finding out which real (or honorary) "DG" you'd most want as your BFF. Take another look back at last night's clip show, catch up on all our past DG coverage then tell us which of these gal pals you'd want in your entourage.
