After watching last night's Danity Kane retrospective, we're even more confused than ever about what ultimately caused the split. Was it Aubrey's supposed rift with Aundrea (or her very public feud with Diddy)? D. Woods' long rumored desire to go solo? Dawn's budding relationship with Que? All of the above??

Fact is, watching the drama unfold all over again didn't clear things up so much as remind us how much magic Danity Kane had when all five girls were actually on the same page.

Which made us wonder: what's DK's legacy? The explosive breakup? The girls? Their two number one albums? Now that their wild ride is finally over, tell us what you'll remember most about The Rise and Fall of Danity Kane.

No matter how many times Sway pushed and prodded at the live Making the Band finale, none of the Danity Kane girls had a definitive answer as to why they split. (Side note: Their first-ever agreement!) In fact, the only one who even came close was D. Woods, who admitted there were cracks in the foundation from day one.

And since the problems (evidently) started around the same time as the now-defunct girl group, we're thinking a behind-the-scenes look at DK's backstage struggles might help explain how things went from bad to worse.

Get a closer look at the events leading up to the split -- and peep some new, never-before-seen footage -- by catching The Rise and Fall of Danity Kane Thursday at 9pm. It's what Diddy would've wanted.

There was singing, and a little dancing. Laughter, and a teary eye or two (ahem, Shannon Bex). But most of all, there was closure! When The Quadruple Ds (Diddy, Danity Kane, Day26 and Donnie Klang) reunited tonight for the Making the Band 4 Live Finale, all was finally said ... and done. We think.

Here are some highlights from the historic MTB4 conclusion!

++ In a flashy show of solidarity, Diddy joined Day26 on stage to perform the group's single, "Imma Put It On Her."

++ Que apologized for going "crazy" this season and said it was (mostly) temporary. Mike and Que then hugged it out.

++ Donnie expressed some serious disappointment over losing camera time to the other boys' bitchassness. And then he stole back everyone's attention with a fab solo performance of "Pick It Up."

++ Aundrea was the only member of Danity Kane who didn't show. Shannon passed along the message that "'Drea loves her fans" but she's "been through a lot" and just needs to be with family right now.

++ Dawn got her hair chopped off! (Maybe that's not a big deal to some, but we think it's MAY-JOR!)

++ Aubrey said she wants to forgive and forget. Let it go. Move on! She's so zen, y'all.

++ Diddy told DK he loves them and "it's been a pleasure," and they returned the sentiment.

++ Shannon and Aubrey admitted that they wouldn't mind a do-over after a solid time out (D Woods not so much), and then Diddy announced that (as far as he's concerned) there will never be another Danity Kane unless it includes its original members. (Still, he's letting each of them out of their contracts so they can currently pursue solo projects.)

++ Diddy also confirmed that he'll be making yet another band -- a girl group! -- and hopefully they'll "appreciate things and work things out."

++ Aubrey's got her own Reality TV show coming up in the fall!

++ And last but not least ... Diddy wants you to follow him on Twitter: iamdiddy.

Stay tuned for exclusive video from our backstage interviews at the event -- and tell us what you think about all the news!!!

Only two of the five Danity Kane-ers showed up for their meeting with Puff, but that didn't stop the boss man laying down the law. And since Diddy's never been the coddling type, he skipped the "everything's gonna be ok" speech, kinda/sorta threatened Dawn and Aundrea with legal action and ordered them to fix this (read: get the group back together)-- or else. (Dum, dum, dum!)

+ Think Dawn and Drea will be able to talk D. Woods and Shannon into coming back? Or was Aundrea right when she said "anyone who wanted to be here would be here?" Take our poll and let us know whether Diddy should keep trying to fix DK -- or just cut his losses and move on.

We know, we know. After last week's episode of Making the Band 4, the future of Danity Kane seems more up in the air than ever. And since we're hopelessly optimistic, (our boyfriend calls it "delusional"), we've decided to keep the faith by listing the Top 5 Reasons Danity Kane Need To Work Sh*t Out.

The tension was so thick at the MTB4: live finale that fans in the studio were actually crying. The reason? Danity Kane were gathered in the same room together for the first time since Diddy kicked Aubrey out of the group.

And while we were all hoping for resolution, instead Puff dropped another bombshell -- D. Woods was out, too -- leaving fans and DK wondering whether a reconciliation was even possible and, if not, whether the group could still go on.

Frustrating as the wait has been, it's finally time to find out the future of Danity Kane. MTB kicks off again on Thursday, February 12, but don't miss an all-new show tonight (Damaged: A Making The Band Special), featuring exclusive interviews with Day26, Laurie Ann Gibson, Danity Kane, Sway and fans like you.

Tune in tonight at 9pm to take a look back at where it all went wrong, hear the cast's thoughts on that shocking finale facedown and find out whether the girls still have a chance to pick up the pieces on this season's MTB.

There've been rumors since the beginning about Danity's eventual demise, but the latest (totally unconfirmed) word is that Diddy's go-to girl group is getting downsized once again.

Already a trio (former members Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods recently left to do their own thang) MediaTakeout.com is now reporting that Dawn Richard's going solo, and Puff's decided to "release" the remaining two girls -- Aundrea Fimbres and Shannon Bex -- from their Bad Boy contracts.

Natch, we'll believe this one if --and when -- we see it, but all this tongue-wagging has us wondering whether Danity's days are numbered. Assuming that rumors of DK's breakup are (gulp!) actually true, you tell us: Do Aubrey, Dawn and D. Woods have what it takes to make it as solo artists?

Coming up on this season of Making the Band 4 ... drama, drama and more drama. Danity Kane tries to recover from the blow of losing two group members to infighting while Day26 starts having "relationship problems" of their own.

Meanwhile, Aundrea dismisses the possibility of a full-scale Danity reunion ("Do I think the five of us will work it out? No!") while Diddy rides the boys for losing focus.

+ Think Day26 is heading for the same fate as Da Band and the trio formerly/currently known as DK? Find out what's in store for the (remaining) MTB-ers, and stay tuned for the return of Season 3, starting February 5th at 9pm.

Since leaving Danity Kane back in September of '08, Aubrey O'Day has found plenty of ways to keep herself in the headlines (i.e. coming out as a maybe-bisexual, posing for Playboy and hinting that she's on the lookout for a show of her own.) But we haven't really heard that much about D. Woods -- you know, the OTHER girl who left DK -- since the Making the Band cameras stopped rolling.

So what's she been doing post-Danity? Well, for starters, she and a couple of her longtime pals formed a girl group of their own: a trio (appropriately) named the Girls Club.

Find out what else she's been up to, plus hear about how why she was born to perform (it's in her blood!), and how she psyched herself up during MTB auditions ("I would say to myself 'I hope this other girl knows some moves because I'm about to do some tricks'") by reading her amazing first-person testimonial on 24 Hour Hip Hop.

After looking at these pics of Dawn Richard and Que Mosley's Halloween costumes (the pair hit up the Dusk Till Dawn gala at The Plumm club in NYC), we've come up with three possible theories to explain their wacky, mismatched look:

Theory #1: Omigod, they're Bonnie and Clyde! Except in this version, Dawn's wearing the pants (er, so to speak) and Que's playing Clyde's gun-totin' partner in crime...as re-imagined by Jason Vorhees.
Theory #2: Let's see...Dawn's dressed up as a Foot Locker employee and Que's going as Silent Man #344 in Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut?
Theory #3: Dawn's going as a much, much sexier version of Al Capone (minus the schnoz), and Que's going as someone who hit up the Halloween aisle at his neighborhood CVS.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in Making the Band land, former Danity Kane-er Aubrey O'Day made waves as Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and D. Woods was...well, we're not entirely sure. Check out her pic after the jump and see if you can enlighten us as to what she's wearing and, more importantly, why she's wearing it.
