With "Battle of the Exes" premiering Wednesday, we couldn't help but think about other former celebrity couples who might benefit from being teamed up together. Perhaps by spending time in close quarters, they could finally work through the bad mojo that split them up in the first place and rekindle the happier times. Or even better, entertain us with the nonstop drama that would surely come from being forced to live together. Here, six ex supercouples we think should appear on the show.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries
These two only managed to stay married for 72 days, so how long would they last as teammates? (We think 72 minutes.) As for how they would fare in the competition, Kris is a big dude--not to mention a pro-baller--so he would have a definite height advantage over the other guys, but Kim's diva attitude would probably get them sent to the The Dome right away.

As we reported earlier this month, the former "Hills" hunk and his pop star girlfriend went splitskies. Since their friends have said a reconciliation is possible, competing on "The Challenge" could be just what they need to bring them back together. In our dreams, the duo would square off in The Dome against Brody's other famous ex, Lauren Conrad, and her former flame Jason Wahler. Imagine the drama!

The world came to a standstill earlier this month when it heard that larger-than-life celebrity couple Katy Perry and Russell Brand were a done deal, and no one ever anticipated a breakup between MTV "it couple" Whitney Port and Ben Nemtin, but for all the tenuousness of Hollywood relationships, we really thought "Hills" playboy Brody Jenner and pop star girlfriend Avril Lavigne would go the distance. Sadly, though, the young couple publicly called it quits yesterday after two years.

Jenner and Lavigne officially broke up last week, according to Us Weekly. Sources told the publication that the two hadn't been happy together in awhile (we had a hunch when we saw the pair's noticeably "blah" photos from a Paris vacation) and finally decided to end things despite those pesky permanent tattoos. Apparently, different career directions amounted to the main breakup catalyst, but now A and B will have plenty of time to plot their next business ventures.

+ Are you surprised by Bravril's split? Sure, they seemed very different, but two years is nothing to sneeze at. Insiders haven't ruled out a reconciliation in the future, but what do you think: Will they eventually find their way back to each other?

Eric Nies, "Real World: New York "
Even though this "Real World" old-schooler went on to do the dirty hippie thing, he set the standard of what to expect from all of our MTV studs. His sexy--and often shirtless--look has been copied by countless reality stars (see below) to this day, and for that, he deserves a nomination.

Danny Roberts, "Real World: New Orleans"
Danny was the kindhearted cutie who had a boyfriend in the military during the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" era. His gorgeous smile and twinkling eyes melted the hearts of guys and girls alike. And, he was so popular that he nabbed a guest-starring role on the biggest teen show of that time, "Dawson's Creek." Let's hope we see him on our TV screens again someday!

LC and K-Cav were smitten with Brody during their time on the series, and we can see why. The attractive socialite had a wicked sense of humor, which came in handy when fending off Speidi. After "The Hills," Brody moved on to pop tart Avril Lavigne, whom he now defends with blood and honor.

The Brodester has a shining moment on the carpet at Columbia Pictures Presents "30 Minutes Or Less."

Reality star Rob Kardashian is currently rehearsing his heart out in a valiant attempt to conquer his "Dancing With The Stars" opponents and take home the highly sought after Mirror Ball trophy, but there's one former contestant that's already thinking about next season's possible batch of challengers.

Late last week, Audrina Patridge called into Ryan Seacrest's radio show to talk about her red carpet duties at the AMAs, as well as offer up some specific opinions as to which celebs could be a great fit for the next "DWTS." According to 'Drina, Brody Jenner, who sustained a bloody face after defending his girlfriend Avril Lavigne during a recent club brawl, should give the ballroom a shot. "They need a guy, I think it would be interesting to watch Brody dance out there," she confidently told the host.

It's pretty hard to picture Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne involved in a bar fight, but the photo above speaks for itself. The story over who actually started the brawl varies, but Avril was left with a black eye and Brody's face was clearly bloodied. Brody Jenner cools off in the parking lot after a bar fight leaves him bloodied.

The City of Lights couldn't awaken excitement between Brody Jenner and his longtime girlfriend, Avril Lavigne, but a bottle smashing over the former's head somewhere in the "Hills" of Hollywood seems to have done the trick!

According to Us Weekly, the couple known for matching their hair with apparel found themselves in the middle of a bar brawl at the Roosevelt Hotel in L.A. this weekend, and when the Brodester saw his girl on the receiving end of several knuckle sandwiches, the occasional hero stepped in to save the day. Tragically, he was rewarded with a bloodied face and a shower of shattered glass. Apparently, things got so rough that he was left with some stitches and fresh scar tissue, while Avril suffered a black eye, bloody nose and ripped-out patches of hair.

Bottle service is presumably a standard for these two. Broken bottle service? Not so much.

Check out some photos of what happened only hours after a battered Brody tweeted: "Having the best night with the love of my life @AvrilLavigne. So happy right now!" Uncool, L.A. aggressors. Uncool.

JWOWW and Roger celebrate their love at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

JWOWW and her boyfriend Roger have been in a love haze for some time now, but the "Jersey Shore" house mother wasn't thrilled that a certain socialite seemed to have made a mockery of marriage earlier this week, especially when a good buddy of hers can't get hitched. Jenni took to Twitter to air her complaints with a...certain someone...and she wasn't the only one who let loose via social media.

Because life without "The Hills" seems to have left Brody Jenner a little bored, the guy decided to pursue a dangerous animal, while Molly Tarlov of "Awkward." decided to pursue pulling down the underwear of an unspecified, presumably cold source. And after Nate of "Real World: San Diego" left followers with some wise words, Alex congratulated the lesbian highlighter party's Béla Károlyi protégés. Sound technique on that dismount!

Couple Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne are noticeably blah in The City of Lights.

Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne, who cemented their love long ago with tattoos bearing the other's name, strolled the streets of Paris today, but seemed to have left their good humor back in the hotel room. Maybe the beauty of the Eiffel Tower really pissed Avril off? Perhaps the romance of the Champs-Elysees didn't particularly do it for the Brodster?

Either way, it's nice to know the pair that nobody gave a shot in hell is still going strong overseas. If you'll recall, Avril is not a Playboy Bunny type (and, thus, what Brody usually goes for), and Sk8er Boi, Jenner ain't. Celebratory Louvre keychains!

OK, so obviously Kristin Cavallari won't be inviting ole "Laguna Beach" rival Lauren Conrad to her upcoming nuptials, but we admit that we were a bit taken aback to hear from E! Online that she WILL be inviting former "Hills" costar (and über-nemesis) Audrina Patridge, as well as (less über of a nemesis but still a nemesis) Stephanie Pratt. Wow, it's almost as if those catfights between them weren't real....

One thing that was never fake for K-Cav was her relationship with Stephen Colletti--they're actually still great friends! So is her fiancé cool with inviting her first love to the wedding? Yep, he gets a VIP pass, presumably with a plus one (it's not like Stephen never moved on to other blonde beauties!).

Now for the really gossipy part (cause you know y'all were wonderin'). Kristin will NOT--we repeat, will NOT--be inviting Brody Jenner, Justin Bobby and Heidi Montag to the big event. In fact, it sounds like you couldn't pay her a boatload of money per episode to even be friends with them again.

Too bad--we were kinda hoping for a "Does anyone object to this union?" type moment at the chapel. But then again, what's the point if she's not inviting reality TV camera crews? For the record, there won't be any of those either. "Jay hates all that stuff," she told Ryan Seacrest, who of course pitched her a wedding special this morning. (No, nothing is sacred anymore, if that's what you were asking yourself. And that's why you watch cable.)

We never pegged Brody Jenner as the type to color-coordinate his clothing with another person--especially a girlfriend--but then again, we never pegged him as the type to date Avril Lavigne. Last night at the punk-pop singer's release party for her fourth album, Goodbye Lullaby, the intriguing couple went an unexpected yet totally eye-catching route with their fashion choices--Brody sported a fluorescent green tie that almost exactly matched the streaks in Avril's 'do.

We have to say, there's something kinda cute about it. Even though The Brodester refuses to smile.

Also at the shindig were Brody's stepsister, Kim Kardashian, and her new basketball player beau, Kris Humphries. Thankfully, Kim had already disposed of her own experiment with Lite-Brite neon hair.
