We've learned a lot from brassy boss lady Kelly Cutrone over the years. And last night was no exception. Once again, the PR maven/unsolicited advice-giver stole the show when she advised Whitney Port to let her new man mark his territory -- all over Jay Lyon's toilet seat. And since we know we're not the only ones who enjoy Kelly's words of wisdom (or 'Cutronisms', as we like to call them), we thought we'd give you a rundown of our fave three KC-inspired life lessons. Starting with:
1. It is better to be feared than loved. Okay, fine, so Macchiavelli said it first. But nobody implements his respect-through-intimidation tactics better than Hurricane Kelly. The way Cutrone sees it, coddling is for the weak. So instead of sweet-talking her staff, KC motivates through scary pep talks and semi-regular firings. Remember: a fearful staff is a productive staff! (Well, usually.)
2. There's no shame in harassing the hired help. Seen any attractive underlings lately? Well, just cause you're signing their checks doesn't mean they're off-limits to your single/fabulous protegee! 'Member when Kelly set Whitney up with the adorable (though unfortunately super-tanned) Alex after ogling him at a model casting? Hey, it pays to be the boss.
3. Always be yourself. We all remember watching Kelly interrogate Allie the aspiring model about her weight. And even though Whitney asked politely, Kelly refused to back down. While not all of you approved of KC's bluntness, the People's Rev founder refused to do a takesies-backsies. Why? Because, after all, she's a bitch. And, like Kristin Cavallari, she totally owns it.

Plus, listen to her sound off on Roxy Olin's very first day, and check the vid below to hear Kelly's own treasured memory: the time she screamed at someone because she "ended up flying in a middle seat in coach next to a really obese person." (We love you, Kel Kel!)

Kelly Cutrone isn't just the lippy lady who scared the pants off Stephanie Pratt (and The City's Allie Crandell) -- she's also the head honcho over at People's Revolution, one of the most powerful PR firms in the fashion biz. And since we all know Kelly runs a tight ship, we thought we'd give you guys a chance to hit her with your biggest, burningest career-type questions.
Wanna know how to ace that first interview? Make your resume stand out? Get on her good side (like Whit) and avoid getting fired in front of the entire office (like Steph)? Leave your questions in the comments and we'll ask as many as we can when we sit down with Kelly next week. And remember: play nice.*
*Or "Killer" Cutrone will come after you!

Kelly Cutrone has frightened away many a young fashionista in her day (Stephanie Pratt, that Jessica chick and model-thin Allie), but Whitney Port's always been something of a golden child. Apparently, something about Whit's sweet, wide-eyed enthusiasm brought out the People's Rev puppet master's sentimental streak. Kelly lavished her protegee with special attention, hooking her up with DVF, setting her up with boring male models and acting more like her surrogate mom than her wicked stepmother.
But judging by what we've seen in the new City promos, Whit's luck may be about to change. When she caught up with MTV News crews on the VH1 Divas carpet, Whitney admitted her relationship with Kelly has evolved into a "love-hate" situation. Hear what else the City star had to say about working for Kelly (pssst, she thinks LC had it worse!) and tune in next Tuesday, Sept. 29, for the series' return.

We didn't see that much of Samantha on The City (she occasionally rounded out Whit's Sex and the City-ish foursomes along with Allie and Erin), but lately girl's been spending QT with Erin Lucas away from the show's cameras. The real-life gal pals showed off similar strapless black getups (above, left) at a movie premiere earlier this week -- and that wasn't the first time they color-coordinated their clothes! Check out the pic we dug up from the February '09 Fashion Week archives. What can we say? Great style minds think alike!

New episodes of Whitney's big City adventures are hitting the small-screen this fall. But that doesn't mean you'll have to wait til the last-minute to cram. Catch up on all the action (Olivia's DVF treachery, Erin's love life, Allie and Adam's fight nights and the Whitney/Jay saga) next week by pre-ordering the DVD now! The 13-episode, 3-disc set is available on Amazon next Tuesday (August 11). Happy early Labor Day!

Allie Crandell might've landed that creeptastic Diesel ad (and the new Tracey Fieth campaign!) but she's not the only City girl with modeling ambitions. (And no, we're not referring to Whitney's upside-downer on Good Morning America.) According to today's Page Six, Olivia Palermo -- who dates German Wilhelmina model Johannes Huebl -- just signed on with the agency herself! All in favor of an Olivia/Allie walk-off next season, say "Aye!"

Wanna get your grubby little paws on a copy of The City: Season One DVD? Well, ya can't! (At least, not at this very mo, yo.) But fear not, City addicts! What you CAN -- and should -- do to avoid late-onset Whitney withdrawal is get your pre-order on ... at a special early bird rate of $22.49.
Head over to Amazon.com now to secure your advance copy of Whitney's three-disk, 13-episode adventure (it'll ship as soon as it's available), then help pass the time by testing your "social" skillz, begging Jay to pwetty pwease come back and counting the number of times Erin laughs, Allie cries, Adam mumbles and Olivia chortles condescendingly in any given show.

After watching Allie get her model on last season, we wondered how long it'd be til we started seeing her face on billboards all over town. Fortch, we didn't have long to wait. The stylish stunner (who previously wowed us with her sexy/strange Diesel ad) is currently the new face of Tracey Feith's Target line.
She also recently chatted up Nylon magazine to share some fun facts (like how she first broke into the modeling biz) and a few of her fave obsessions. FYI, the City girl's head-over-heels forĀ "massages, shopping, scented candles, anything peppermint" and "Splenda!" (Oh, and Adam, of course!)

You can name all the major players on The City, you know where everyone falls on the uptown/downtown spectrum and you even kept a running tally of Olivia Palermo's eye rolls (we lost count at twenty-three). But do you know everything there is to know about Whitney Port's Hills spinoff?
Take our brand-new City quiz and find out whether you're a clueless Out-of-Towner, a Newbie New Yorker, Street Smart beyond your years or a bona fide City Slicker! (Bonus: If you get a perfect score within the first three tries, feel free to consider yourself an honorary member of the Plaid Mafia!)
What are you waiting for? Test your City smarts now!

Olivia Palermo has a lot of friends in high places, but she's not the only "social" networker in The City crew. Turns out, Whitney, Erin and 'Liv have been tweeting away since shooting wrapped last season -- and they've dropped plenty of virtual bombshells. A quick roundup!
