On tonight's "16 and Pregnant: Life After Labor" reunion special, Chelsea reminded us how supportive her father Randy was during her pregnancy. After being emotionally attacked by her then-boyfriend Adam's slanderous text messaging, it was her dad that came racing home to comfort her.

Tonight, we also got to check in with Jenelle and her mother Barbara. Although the two don't get along perfectly, Jenelle admitted to Dr. Drew that she wouldn't be able to raise Jace without the help of her mom.

Check out these post-reunion exclusive interviews, where Randy expresses pride that Chelsea is maturing and wonders if his own divorce may have affected her decision making. Then, listen to Jenelle admit she's disrespectful to her mother .... even though that's not enough to keep the two from (lovingly?) going at it!

It's common for young people to fantasize about significant milestones in their future. For some it's the perfect prom or a dream wedding; others might even ponder meaningful baby names. Although the childbearing on "16 and Pregnant" was unplanned, we wondered if the girls already had the names they chose for their children in the back of their heads -- and what exactly each of them meant. NIKKOLE

Meaning: This is becoming a popular American name, as it's 'heaven' spelled backward.

CHELSEA
Baby Name: Aubree
Meaning: Aubree is Germanic, but is also used in many English-speaking countries. It means 'Elfin king' or 'magical being.'

LORI
Baby Name: Aiden
Meaning: Originally a Gaelic name, Aiden means 'little fire.'

SAMANTHA
Baby Name: Jordynn
Meaning: The more common spelling of this name -- Jordan -- is Hebrew and means 'to descend.'

NICOLE
Baby Name: Brooklyn
Meaning: The name comes from the Dutch term for 'broken land.'

This morning, teen moms Maci and Chelsea visited The Today Show to speak with Ann Curry and Dr. Drew about their motherhood experience. Sometimes people are nastier online or via text messages because it's easier to hide behind a computer/phone. As we saw on this week's episode of 16 and Pregnant, Adam took advantage of this fact and fired off hurtful texts to Chelsea at will. He also wrote some nasty stuff about her on Facebook. Check out this exclusive bonus video, where Chelsea tells her sister Emily about the mean things Adam posted. It's obviously not the first time that he's insulted her — so what is it about this guy that makes walking away from him so hard? On tonight's episode of 16 and Pregnant, teen mom Chelsea spiraled out of control when she received an incredibly mean text from her baby's father, Adam. We're not quite sure what could have angered Adam so much for him to refer to his own daughter as a "mistake" — but clearly some restraint should have been practiced, especially since one day Aubree may be faced with seeing footage of her dad saying something very hurtful.

It was painfully obvious throughout Chelsea's story that Adam lacked the maturity to be unconditionally supportive, but after reading the text in question, one might even say he crossed the line into abusive behavior. Take the poll and tell us: Was Adam's message to Chelsea something that should (and can) be forgiven? Or will "sorry" never be enough?

It was tough watching Chelsea feud with her muscle car–loving boyfriend, Adam. He completely dropped the ball when it came to supporting her, but as disappointing as that was, there were some positive people in her life, too — like her dad Randy.

So often, we see the grandmother (the mother of the teen mom) step up to help raise the newborn, but on tonight's episode, it was Chelsea's father who did a lot of the caretaking.

Regardless of which family member these young moms turn to, do you think it's the responsibility of the grandparent(s) to fill the void of the absent father? Should they have to become parents again? On tonight's episode of 16 and Pregnant, we met Chelsea, whose wide-eyed innocence ended up causing her a lot of heartache. After delivering her premature daughter, Aubree Skye, she found herself chasing after boyfriend (and the baby's father) Adam, who was too busy repairing car engines to show up for fathering stints.

At the end of the episode, things took a dark turn when Adam called his daughter a "mistake." As a result, Chelsea decided to remove Adam's last name from her daughter's birth certificate, conceding that he didn't deserve that connection with Aubree.

Bringing home a newborn for the very first time can be an overwhelming experience filled with excitement yet a bit of uneasiness. And for 16 and Pregnant's Chelsea, it looks like she might have to go through the adventure without help from her boyfriend Adam.

Take a look at this sneak peek of next week's episode, where Chelsea asks Adam for support while she's breastfeeding their child. Unfortunately, his mind is on something else: muscle cars. On last night's 16 and Pregnant, we witnessed yet another rocky relationship between a teenage girl and her baby's dad. According to Valerie (and Jenelle, and Nikkole), the guys weren't completely there for them even before becoming pregnant. This sad realization got us thinking that maybe the question isn't why Matt, (Jenelle's) Josh and (Nikkole's) Josh haven't stepped up as fathers (yet?), rather whether they were ever capable of showing up for anyone. And why would any young woman have dated them in the first place?

First, let me say that we're in no way judging. I myself spent time chasing after reciprocal love from bad boys with sharp tongues and a habit of disappearing when they were needed most. So did my friends, and their friends. It seems to be a common thread between a ton of us: allowing ourselves to be treated in a way that's 1,000 times less than we deserve. Allowing our hearts to lead the way — instead of our self-respect.

Maybe this is something you've never experienced, and if that's the case, we really hand it to you for being so strong and independent. But we do know by watching the past three episodes of 16 and Pregnant — as well as next week's sneak peek of Chelsea's story — that the issue we're raising isn't uncommon.
