Jake Johnson, looking dapper in a suit and tie.

"Catfish: The TV Show" is purely unscripted, as you know, but after the series became a bona fide hit, the term Nev Schulman coined for pulling the wool over an online love's eyes became part of the pop culture lexicon, and is now starting to rear its head in scripted series, such as "Glee." If you think about it, which "New Girl" star Jake Johnson does reallllly hard in the video below, the plot line possibilities are endless.

MTV's Hollywood Crush blog sat down with the actor behind "New Girl"'s grumpy beer-slinger, Nick Miller, to find out what'd happen if his character got catfished, and instantly Jake developed a rather compelling story. He explained that if Jess (Zooey Deschanel) were to break up with Nick, he'd be totally heartbroken and try to meet a girl online, but the true identity of the hypothetical lady would be his hopeless romantic BFF, Schmidt, just trying to help him get back on the saddle. "And then, like, [Schmidt's] reasoning for catfishing him, when Nick gets mad...he wanted him to experience love again...then they re-read all the emails and Nick will be like, 'Schmidt, [these were] the sweetest things anyone's ever said to me,' and Schmidt's all teary-eyed, and like, 'I feel this, but I'm only able to say it through Tabitha,'" Jake joked. Um, can someone let JJ in the "New Girl" writers' room, stat? He has a good pitch, people!

+ Check out the clip, and tell us if you think Jake's idea would play well onscreen.

IsaacTeethCleaning

Not even an ounce of fear on Isaac's face.

Most kids (hell, most adults) will do anything to avoid a trip to the dentist (including screaming for their lives), but not Kailyn Lowry's son! The "Teen Mom 2" tot clearly takes after his brace-faced mom in the courage department. Yesterday, Kail brought Isaac to the dental office she works at, and while we're not sure if he was given a head's up about the cleaning appointment, the wee one certainly put on a brave face.

It's too hard to tell whether that's Kail sporting the protective glasses in the pic, but it's quite possible she's Isaac's hygienist considering her recent graduation from dental school. Big ups to Kail for not only fulfilling her dream, but making sure her son receives the biggest perk of her job: sparkly choppers! While we're sure 3-year-old Isaac would probably enjoy the benefits of being the offspring of the Power Ranger he's clutching (Take Your Mini-Ranger to Work Day would be a blast) more than getting teeth cleanings at Mommy's office, he seems pretty content in that reclining chair. Just remember to floss, kid.

 nino_sophie

The most beautiful "sophie" ever.

Trying to squeeze four hours spent shadowing the most eccentric human being caught on film since "Grey Gardens" into a few minutes was a tall task, but it had to be done for the many MTV fans suffering from Internet FOMO (guys, that toilet-trained cat on YouTube will still be there in the morning!). And while we still consider Uncle Nino's wild ride through Staten Island a masterpiece, many priceless moments were sacrificed by editing the video into an online short -- for instance, the one below, in which Nino enlists the help of a pre-teen to take a "sophie" (English translation: selfie) and tweet it to his followers. "Shoot! Shoot!" the self-proclaimed Original Guido yells at his iPhone as he grins like a tipsy Sicilian who just put down a full plate of baby octopus. Take a look:

Whether it's why you should love your boobs or why you should not cut your own bangs, MTV's "Girl Code" delivers fresh insight about all-too-familiar topics, and is sure to sometimes have its female viewers fervently nodding their heads while mouthing to the television screen, "Yessss, exactllllly!!!" Oprah calls that kind of catharsis an "aha! moment," which sounds like a positive thing, so we're highlighting a different part of the show each week that made us feel like maybe, just maybe, we're not the loner freaks we originally assumed. Take a look at the latest below.

GirlCodeGyno

"What do you say when someone is sticking an object in your vagina?" Good question, April Rose.

For females, going to the gynecologist is essential in order to keep the traffic flowing downtown without any major collisions, but why is it that OBGYNs tend to get chatty as soon as you're spread eagle? It's as if their med school rotation included a segment entirely dedicated to the practice of being talkative while up in a patient's vag.

Though it's not "Girl Code" to ask how someone's thesis is progressing while investigating her netherbits, it's definitely common. In fact, we're willing to bet it's happened to every woman who's ever placed her feet in stirrups. And while trying to maintain small talk with your doc is not an easy task, some of MTV's Codemasters seem to handle it with flair.

Animals

There's an entire industry devoted to stress relief, but for Ke$ha, some quality time with animal friends is all it takes to get zen. On last night's "My Crazy Beautiful Life," the pop star's massive two-plus year tour finally came to an end, and as the enormity of it all hit her, she decided to head into the wild to clear her head. With swimming among sharks and rehabilitating orphan lions on the agenda, the nature spree was about as good as chapter-closing gets. "I had to go take a couple weeks off for myself, or else my brain was going to explode," Ke$ha says in a clip from the episode below. "It really made me reconnect with myself."

For the glitter girl, scheduling a small hiatus was completely necessary before jumping into the studio to record her next album, especially since it had a positive effect on her creativity: During Ke$ha's downtime from the madness of Hollywood, she came up with "Warrior" as the title for her next effort, and it certainly caught on with the masses.

Check out the video for a glimpse of Ke$ha grabbing some "me" time in the Galapagos Islands, South Africa and wherever else she could find a non-human creature, and hear more about her love of wild animals in her recent "Nikki & Sara LIVE" interview!

NewFriends

It's a commonly held belief that a fresh start with a new crew could be a social cure-all for any floundering teen, and on tonight's "Awkward," Jenna got a chance to test that theory out. Palos Hills' resident pariah had been living in harmony with her peers for some time, but Halloween brought the devils out of the woodwork, and they assured her she'd never be good enough for BMOC Matty McKibben. The haterade made Jenna's fresh confidence devolve into her old dejected demeanor, until a sudden impulse to crash Collin's girlfriend's bash became the ticket out of her funk.

To avoid judgement at the PHHS party, Jenna roped Matty, TamaraJake and Sadie into accompanying her to a house full of strangers, and once inside, J discovered she actually fit in way better with Collin's more sophisticated crowd. Collin's girlfriend, Angelique, even suggested that Jenna consider ditching Matty for someone more worldly!

Lopezbaby2

Put your dukes up! Baby Lopez practices its fighting stance in the womb.

Mario Lopez's second child has been steadily baking in wife Courtney Mazza's oven, but we are still months away from the TV personality and social media master's inevitable status update announcing the bundle of joy's arrival. Until then, we can at least share in the proud papa's journey as he tweets about the baby's progress and shares sonograms with his over 700,000 followers.

"First pic of baby Lopez #2... Thank you @CourtneyMLopez :) ," Mario posted with the photo above before pondering the baby's gender through a hashtag. Whether boy or girl, one thing's for sure: This kid's gonna be a fighter! Just look at little Lopez flexing for the camera...sorta like its pop did back in the day as wrestling champ A.C. Slater! Let's hope he or she inherits Mario's dimples, too.

JWOWW_OLTLStill

Jenni Farley, as Nikki, flirts with her boss and occasional fling, Cutter, on "One Life to Live."

When we first heard JWOWW's acting debut would involve the portrayal of a flirty drink-slinger, we had all the confidence in the world our "Jersey" girl would do us proud. And she did precisely that this morning on "One Life to Live," bringing the role of Shelter bartender Nikki to life in a way that would make any employee on the Karma payroll proud. Pay attention, Hollywood up-and-comers: Josh Kelly's acting tips are clearly golden.

In the full episode below, the more-hot-chick-than-actual-bartender Nikki struggles to impress with her signature cocktail, which -- in defense of the man who grimaces after a sip -- sounds absolutely disgusting (scotch, simple syrup and Red Bull mixed together is essentially an ipecac alternative). Nikki tells her boss, Cutter, who's played by Kelly, that she's never tasted her own cocktails, as she's more of a "beer person," but as long as she's able to keep patrons entertained with her seductive cherry-eating, we have a feeling she won't struggle much to rack up tips.

MacMiller_itsthereal_bon

When Eric and Jeff Rosenthal agreed to make a guest appearance on "Most Dope," the brothers assumed they'd be rubbing elbows with Mac Miller himself. Instead, they got stuck interviewing Mac's fur coat clad alter ego, Larry Lovestein. Persistence pays off, though, and recently, the duo managed to track down the actual Mac and pick his brain for their show.

In a clip from ItsTheReal's web series, "Rap Lines," Eric and Jeff ask Mac the questions all young hip-hop fans are dying to know, like if it's okay to drop out of school to rap and if you can accurately judge a girl by her ringtone. All appears to be going smoothly, until one fan's question almost knocks the entire interview off-kilter. "My parents say I can do anything I want in life, so I want to be Mrs. Mac Miller," Eric begins, reading "Sarah" from Florida's question. "My parents are totally on board. How can we make this happen? P.S. I'm 14 and I love 'Thrift Shop.'" And the survey says...wrong rapper! "Yeah, I think she's thinking of Macklemore Miller," Eric says. "That's awesome," Mac responds, laughing off the mix-up. Uh oh, we think 14-year-old Sarah just inspired another split personality!

DearVinny2

Paola Guadagnino will have to bust out her finest china soon, if her son, Vinny, manages to snag his ideal guest. In this week's "Dear Vinny" video, "The Show with Vinny" frontman reveals that, if he had his pick of folks to interview, he'd choose none other than the POTUS, FLOTUS and SMOTUS (that's Sasha and Malia of the United States, obviously). Hey, after Lil Wayne takes a leak in your bathroom, anything is possible.

"Once you come in to an Italian's home, everyone is the same," Vin says, pleading his case for a presidential visit. And should Barack & Co. wind up at Vin's doorstep, they'll probably be treated to his favorite Paola specialty, which -- believe it or not -- includes not a trace of prosciutto, pasta or marinara. Evidently, plain ol' mashed potatoes are Mrs. Guadagnino's forte, but we bet she sprinkles in a little Parmesan for good measure.

Check out the full fan Q&A to also find out how hosting has helped mitigate Vin's anxiety, keep leaving your questions on "The Show with Vinny" Facebook page and check back each week to see if your entries make the cut!
