It’s the season finale, and the moments we’ve been waiting have finally arrived! Justine and Run bring home their new baby daughter … and Jojo cries on camera! The girls are heading out to Los Angeles, and the boys… they’re chilling, skateboarding, you know. (Glad ya finally got rid of the pink helmet, Diggy.) Read more…

Get the Pampers ready, y’all. There’s about to be a poo-poo party up in here. Big news on Run’s House: After a visit from their adoption lawyer Ina, Rev and Justine get the word that they’re getting a 1-month-old baby girl. House meeting time! The kids are excited, almost as much as Run (who earlier in the episode, was babbling on like a madman whey they first heard the news). Vanessa’s especially excited to buy her “little fur coats and stuff.” Please don’t tell me they actually make fur coats for 1-month-olds.

Brotherly drama abounds in the latest episode of Lifestyles of the Rich and Reverend. First off there’s Russy, baby of the family, who’s suddenly getting picked on so much you’d think Angela and Jojo held a meeting to strategize their attacks. Angela is the worst offender, giving the little dude double Wet Willies – as if your standard-variety single Wet Willy wasn’t painful enough. Somebody needs a soap opera to star in. Read more…

Are the Simmons’ the most entrepreneurial family in America? We’ve seen Angela, Vanessa and Jojo all make business moves this season, and in Episode 12, it’s Justine’s turn, as a VERY excited rep from Simmons Jewelry Co. tells her the good news: The Home Shopping Network wants her to come on TV and talk up her Brown Sugar line. So when do Diggy and Russy get their own business? They seem ready.
(By the way, if you want to cop yourself some of Justine’s Brown Sugar jewelry, you can check out Justine’s Brown Sugar fine jewelry line at simmonsjewelryco.com) Read more…

Jojo is a good dude – he is a Simmons, after all – but he’s been due for a dose of humility, and you could say he gets his in this episode. It comes in the shape of dog doo-doo. That’s courtesy of the pup owned by Kevin Leong, Phat Farm’s VP of Design who’s been tasked by Uncle Russell to give Jojo and internship, then “keep a foot in his ass.” Read more…

Talk about bittersweet. The last week of summer sucks when you’re young, no matter how much your parents remind you how lucky you are to actually have “summer’” as you know it. Russy and Diggy don’t seem too down about it as Episode 10 kicks off, though. Rev hands them a video camera and suggests they document their last days, most of which they seem to spend skating. Justine joins them, attempting to flex her skills on the board, and it ain’t pretty. Forget a nail, she’s lucky she didn’t break her arm. She later gets revenge on Diggy by buying the poor kid a pink helmet. That’s cold. Read more…

At long last, our favorite Buffalo wing-loving TV mama Justine gets a major story arc in Episode 9, babysitting/borrowing her sister Michelle’s 11-month-old daughter Ameera for a few days. But from the looks of the carload of cribs and clothes she drops off, I wasn’t so sure Michelle was planning to come back. Of course Rev and Justine are hoping to adopt, so the adorable Ameera gives them a refresher course on bringing up baby.

Two weeks back, Run practically forced Russy and Diggy to have friends come stay over, dubbing it “Camp Rev.” But this episode it’s Run’s turn to have a sleepover! Kid Rock is coming to town, y’all. I haven’t seen the Reverend this excited since he was planning Diggy’s wedding with Ja Rule. He even gets a little possessive, telling Justine Rock is HIS friend. But when Uncle Rock shows up (even brings his hat box), he seems to do the most bonding with Russy. This includes a trip to Sam Ash, where “Uncle Rock” buys the 11-year-old a $3,000 guitar. “Lucky you got a rich uncle,” he tells him, and for a second I thought he meant Russell.

Rev’s a hard dude to figure out. One moment it feels like he might actually take pleasure in embarrassing his kids, especially the impressionable little fellas Diggy and Russy. Then the next moment he proves the undisputable heavyweight champion of dads. Look no further than Episode 6, where Rev gets jealous the boys are sleeping over at other kids’ houses (it’s actually a little adorable) and practically forces them to host friends for “Camp Rev.” He even promises there will be relay races! But just when it seems he does in fact seem hell-bent on embarrassing them, he busts out the turntables and starts cutting up “The Breaks” as the kids get into (Russy getting down to Kurtis Blow is near priceless) and then telling campside stories about, you know, making Hip Hop history. “To some people I’m the coolest dude in America,” Rev tells the boys. I wouldn’t go that far, but top 500 for sure. Read more…
