If Michael Jackson’s memorial brought tears to your eyes yesterday, you certainly weren’t alone. Emotions ran high throughout the ceremony (even Mariah Carey was choking back sobs!), and tons of celebs took to their Twitters to commemorate the passing of one of music’s greatest superstars.
Needless to say, Michael’s fellow artists were among those hit hardest by his passing. Among those grieving in the pop community? Danity Kane’s Dawn Richard and Aubrey O’Day, and Day26’s Willie Taylor (borrowing a few words from Tyrese Gibson). After the jump, read their final farewells and feel free to add your own in the comments!

First, Aubrey O’Day gets accused of being a diva on the set of her new anti-discrimination PSA for “NOH8″. Then, she gets straight-up robbed (in the middle of the street!) on her way to shoot a segment for the TV Guide channel yesterday! According to TMZ. the muggers took everything — including the Zac Posen dress she’d brought for the shoot! — leaving her wardrobe-less and sadsies.
But, being a professional, Aubs decided the show must go on. “Left without a proper outfit, Aubrey [was] forced to wear whatever the TV Guide people had handy,” writes TMZ.
On the plus side, Aubrey’s adorabs little doggy, Ginger, survived the robbery intact (she was in the arms of the makeup artist at the time) and was safely returned to her grateful owner, post-trauma. And as of late yesterday afternoon, the former Danity Kaner was recovering nicely — presumably thanks to Ginger, and her happy puppy kisses.
“Aubrey is doing well,” O’Day’s rep confirms to Usmagazine.com. “She is just a bit shaken up from the day’s chaos and is grateful that she and those around her were unharmed.”

These days, it’s easier than ever to pick up a tabloid, head over to TMZ and find out anything and everything you wanna know about your favorite celebs. But somehow, Danity Kane managed to hide the behind-the-scenes drama from their fans right up until the moment the group called it quits. And now, their Making the Band brothers (a.k.a. Day26) admit that might’ve been a major mistake.

We know, we know, Aubrey O’Day’s already got her own show, and she’s described it as a singing, dancing, music-making extravaganza. But that doesn’t means Aubs isn’t already thinking about her next role. And according to E! Online, the Danity Kane departee is eying a part on ABC’s hit reality series, Dancing With the Stars. “I hope they ask me to [go on the show],” she gushed to reporters, promising “I’ll win if I do it.”
+ Sure, we’ve seen Aubs pick up choreography in the past. But does she still have all the right moves? Take our poll and let us know whether the DWTS hopeful can waltz outta there with first prize!

We know, we know, this isn’t the first time we told you Dawn and Que were talking marriage. And while the couple hasn’t officially made the leap from “In a Relationship” to “Engaged,” Que’s sounding more serious than ever about getting hitched to his dream girl.
“[O]ne day I’m gonna marry her,” the Day26er recently told his hometown paper (according to Singersroom.com). “She is so real. I want everybody to accept it. I know it’s hard with this industry because you got a lot of fans but, I am so in love.”
And don’t let Dawn’s conspicuously(?) naked ring finger fool you. In just seven short months, Que’s gone from murmuring vague you-never-knows to announcing he’s found his future baby mama!
“I want to have kids with this girl one day,” Que insists. “I know I’ve found the woman I want to be with for the rest of my life.”
Awww, we love weddings! Here’s to hoping we (or at least the MTB cameras) get to be there for the “I do”s …

Fact: We’ve been nursing a crush on the guys from Day26 ever since Puff first called out their names back in 2007. (Only back then, they didn’t even HAVE a name, so we just thought of them as “The Fantastic Five.”) And now that we’ve had the chance to get to know them a lil’ bit, we’ve learned there’s a lot more to them than boyish grins and melt-in-your-mouth vocals!
‘Course, knowing they’re more than a bunch of pretty faces doesn’t make us appreciate their hotness any less. Peep these pics of the boys (snapped by our own MTV photogs) and give it up for all their other talents, i.e. their ability to stare sexily into the camera/your soul as if to say: “You know ‘Imma Put It On Her‘? Yeah, I wrote that about you.”
Oh, and for those of you who crave insider deets along with your mouthwatering Day26 photos? Will averages 300 words-per-minute, Que’s equal parts dead serious/laugh-out-loud hilarious and Brian’s a hopeless textaholic.
+ BONUS: Watch an exclusive interview with Day26 and find out five things you never knew about their new album!

Aubrey O’Day isn’t the kinda girl who keeps her opinions (or NBA allegiances) to herself. When we caught up with her at the Making the Band live finale, girl was checking the Celtics score on her Blackberry, carrying a white-and-green dog (the green parts were spray-paint, we think) and telling us Paul Pierce was her puppy’s “baby daddy.” And now the sporty singer sez she’s taking Celtic pride to a whole new level! Appearing on Making the Band doesn’t equal instant street cred. Especially if you wanna be taken seriously as an all-male R&B group. And according to Que Mosley, Day26 has struggled with shedding their reality tv shadow since, well, Day1. Fortunately, the success of their last TWO albums has helped prove they’re the real deal. But that doesn’t mean everybody’s ready to concede dem boys got talent.

After watching last night’s Danity Kane retrospective, we’re even more confused than ever about what ultimately caused the split. Was it Aubrey’s supposed rift with Aundrea (or her very public feud with Diddy)? D. Woods‘ long rumored desire to go solo? Dawn’s budding relationship with Que? All of the above??
Fact is, watching the drama unfold all over again didn’t clear things up so much as remind us how much magic Danity Kane had when all five girls were actually on the same page.
Which made us wonder: what’s DK’s legacy? The explosive breakup? The girls? Their two number one albums? Now that their wild ride is finally over, tell us what you’ll remember most about The Rise and Fall of Danity Kane.
