So the big news is Casey and Taylor breaking up. Those two have definitely had their ups and downs and have even taken a break from each other, but they hadn’t ever really broken up. I guess that’s also why it made it harder for Casey to just let it go because he was thinking this was just a fight and it would blow over and everything would go back to normal. But it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. That’s why I asked Taylor if she was officially single. Her saying that she was proves that their relationship is over. And it sucks. It sucks for Casey, it even sucks for Taylor. I’m just hoping that it doesn’t mess up the chill vibe the rest of us have with Casey and/or Taylor. I guess time will tell. Read more…

Since the summer, me and my dad have been on such weird terms. We’ve gotten into stupid arguments over nothing and I know that’s not a good place to be. My dad totally agrees, so in the last few months it’s been like we called a truce. My dad’s been getting spiritual and reading a lot of inspirational books and that’s even been rubbing off on me. Things with us are pretty chill now and remind me of the days before the divorce when we got along better. Seeing my dad so focused and trying to keep calm is definitely inspiring (we can both have pretty bad tempers). So with all this work he’s been doing on himself and that we’ve been doing to keep our relationship going good, it really hit me when my dad told me he and Christi broke up. Read more…

It’s official: I am an adult. This day could not have come soon enough. Some people say you’re not supposed to feel a difference between 17 and 18, but I say that’s not true. I feel different. I can vote, buy lottery tickets, and I can sign my own contracts for once.
The surprise party was the most insane thing ever. Everybody played it off so good. You guys do not understand—I was convinced my party was happening later this month in Vegas. There was so much everyone was saying that was making me think that too. First of all, the Vegas trip was on my actual birthday… Steve was telling me that I could bring more friends from San Clemente on the plane… Even my friend Paul slipped up and told me Vegas was where the big party was going down. Everyone had me fooled. Shane thought for sure they had busted the surprise when I came home that night and he was still there with Kano. I guess I should have noticed that Kane was stuntin’. Looking a little too good is a sure sign something was going down. But no, I didn’t catch on. I was thinking about the Oakley photo shoot and how I just wanted to get it over with and be done. Steve dropping that big fat lie messed me up even more. He even got Dylan and Jamie from Oakley in on it. They had me believing that we were doing a photo shoot at the Oakley headquarters instead of doing it up in L.A.

After the cameras stopped rolling for this week, I jumped on a plane to Hawaii for a quick vacation. So, you’re getting this from the airplane while I’m coming home. Christmastime is one of my favorite times of the year, especially since it’s so close to my birthday! And this year was extra cool since I”ll be turning 18. But this year Christmas was just so sick because my mom was way excited this year. When I said that our place looked like Christmas, I was not kidding. All the lights my mom puts up on the house (with a little help from my grandpa), plus the huge tree in the living room with all the decorations makes the house look dope. She even has this toy train on railroad tracks running around in a circle on the floor with all the presents and stuff there. Kane likes playing with that one. Our tree and basically the whole house looks like something you’d see in a Bloomingdale’s catalogue. Everything was decorated and the mood around the house was way different from last year when nobody even felt like celebrating.

A lot of stuff came up during this week. Shooting guns? Crazy. Just insane. And it was my first week as a “boyfriend.” A lot was going on, but let’s start with the good stuff… Read more…

…and I don’t even know where I’m actually finding the time to write this because my schedule’s still packed with business stuff that is going on, but here goes…
This week, the business side of my skating just blew up. I know I won’t be able to skate forever and even though I’m only 17 right now, I gotta start thinking about the future. One thing I’ve always wanted to have was my own line of clothes and this week, I busted my butt to get a business like that off the ground…

I’m surrounded by family and friends who I love. I travel the world and get to see places most people only dream of. I get paid a lot of money to do something I absolutely love for a living. And I’m only 17. There are some adults out there who can’t even say that… Read more…

Most people might not like the responsibility that comes with being the big brother, but I love it. Part of the reason I decided to stay home a while longer is to make sure my brothers are good with the divorce. It was hard hearing from mom that I might need to rethink moving out, but ultimately, I knew it was the right decision when I get to hang with them pretty much anytime I get the chance. Lately, I’ve been trying to make sure that time happens a lot… Read more…

It’s crazy to think of my life as being something people get to see from the inside, but I’m glad you guys are living the life with me. In the five months since the last episode, I’ve been crazy busy, but without all the cameras and stuff around, it almost felt quiet! I got to see a lot of my friends and do regular stuff like surfing and wakeboarding… Read more…

Grinding rails and landing tricks is what my life’s all about, but the biggest trick I’ve ever landed was getting the chance to do my own TV show. The past few months, I’ve been on the most insane ride and it’s mostly because of Life of Ryan. Shooting it has been the most surreal thing ever in my life. I’m used to seeing footage of me competing, but watching my life on TV while I’m just hanging out with my friends and brothers and then dealing with girls…it’s crazy... Read more…
