After all that talk about opening a flagship store, Angela, Vanessa and Jess decided to put their Pastry plans on hold while they pursued other interests. And while we're excited for their new adventures (like Vanessa's play and Jessica/Angela's NYC digs), we're kinda bummed we won't be able to see all those amazing shoes in one place!
+ Think the girls were right to take a Pastry timeout? Or should they have held off on all that other shtuff 'til they had the new store up and running? Take our poll and tell us whether the girls (and Rev Run!) made the right call by deciding NOT to set up shop!

Watching Vanessa and Angela Simmons now, it's hard to believe they're the same girls who fought with their younger sibs (and, well, each other) back on Run's House. And while some things never change ('member the Danielle debacle on Daddy's Girls?), these days the sisters are living large as best friends, roomies and co-founders of Pastry!

Check out how far the Simmons gals have come since their MTV debut and tune in tonight for the Season Two finale of Daddy's Girls!

Nobody loves their daughters more than Rev Run. But sometimes, a pop's gotta know when to step aside -- and admit his girls are old enough to take care of themselves. Fortch, Angela and Vanessa proved they're ready to handle anything tonight when they stood up to dear old dad and told him (in the nicest, most diplomatic way possible) to back off.
Was it annoying that Rev canceled their OK! interview without even asking? Of course. But instead of yelling (or crying, or stamping their feet), the girls calmly and reasonably addressed the issue -- and ended up getting through to Dad AND acing the interview with flying colors.
Talk about a one-two punch!

Okay, so Angela wasn't exactly ready to tear up the turntables tonight, but that doesn't mean we've seen the last of DJ Mouse! With a little hard work and dedication, Rev Run's daughter might learn to rock out without the use of the preset button. And we plan to be there (with camcorders) when she finally shows off her skillz.
In fact, we can already see it now: Rev Run (dressed head-to-toe in Pastry) could introduce his daughter, DJ Mouse, while she spins her brother's latest Team Blackout record to a sold-out crowd of Run's House/Daddy's Girls fans ... at Vanessa's next film premiere!
Hey, maybe there really IS something 'bout those Simmons genes!

We haven't seen much of Vanessa's personal life since last season's speed-dating debacle. But last night, we got to see her spend some quality time with her new boyfriend, Mike! And while Rev Run's playing protective dad (i.e. by giving him the no-sex-before-marriage talk), we think 'Nessa and make make a super-cute couple. Even if he IS the reason we had to say goodbye to that poor widdle kitty kat.

+ Do you guys agree? Peep these pix of Vanessa cozying up to Mike her new digs and tell us whether you wanna see more of her love life this season!

Angela and Vanessa are back for a brand-new season of Daddy's Girls! And the Pastry biz is sweeter than ever, thanks to Jess' amazing managerial skills. But now that the girls are dreaming big, they'll have to work even harder to stay on top. Which means NO distractions! Well, except for their friend Lynn. And Vanessa's new boyfriend. And Angela's childhood bestie. (And her little dog, too.)
Fortch, the girls still have Rev Run to call on in a pinch, plus plenty of other things (did we mention Vanessa's new boyfriend??) to keep them busy. So check out what's going down on DG and tune in August 11th at 10pm for the Season Two premiere!

Although he was a little overwhelmed at first, Rev Run finally realized that getting inducted into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame is a pretty big deal. Especially when you're only the second hip-hop act to EVER receive the honor. (Grandmaster Flash was the first, back in 2008.) And for those of you who missed the ceremony -- which took place in April of this year -- you might wanna see Eminem pay tribute to the rock-infused rap legends. Hear him give it up for "two turn tables and a microphone," read the MTV News coverage of the epic tribute and watch Run-DMC's classic 1985 video, "King of Rock," after the jump.

Where we come from, you don't welsh on a bet. Ever. Even if you bet your new Rolls-Royce. Even if you never in a million years thought you would lose. So when JoJo came through with his amazing (low-fat) fried chicken, we figured Rev Run would shake his head and hand over the keys. Instead, he told JoJo to get the car washed somewhere in No Man's Land and be home in time for dinner!
+ Think Rev was being unfair? Or, as head of household, does he reserve the right to revoke JoJo's car privileges at any time? Take our poll and let us know whether JoJo's kitchen coup should've gotten him in the driver's seat.

We've already seen JoJo tear it up in Team Blackout's new vid, "Gotta Have Her." But even Rev Run was blown away by JoJo's freestylin' (oops, sorry, PAIDstylin') skillz on tonight's Run's House. Think dude's got a chance of making it big as an MC? Take our poll and tell us how you'd rate JoJo's rapping!
+ Wanna see more of JoJo in action? Watch Team Blackout's "Gotta Have Her" one more time!
Whether he's rapping with Kid Rock, building playgrounds or mastering (and abandoning) the art of DIY baby-proofing, Rev Run's never been the type of guy who's afraid to get his hands dirty. But does he have a head for the family biz? Nobody's really sure seeing as dude hasn't stepped foot in the office since the Reagan administration. Watch as Russell Simmons guilts Rev into getting back to work while Diggy and Russy bicker (about hand soap?!) on the next Run's House.
