College visits are meant to help zero in on your higher education options, but on this week’s “Awkwardepisode, Jenna saw them potentially narrowing down her friendships, too. While touring Southern Coast University’s campus, Jenna was incredibly inspired by the fellow aspiring writers she met, but Tamara, on the other hand, partied so hard that she completely blew her interview. In an instant, J-Town saw their paths divide, and wondered if they could remain BFFs.

She wasn’t the only one left pondering the permanence of the relationship, though, and after the show aired, fans sounded off, with some even sharing stories of whether they were able to maintain high school friendships after graduating. See a few of our favorites from MTV.com and Facebook, and keep the conversation going!

“Just like most high school friends, you’re going to have to separate different paths sooner or later. They’ll still be friends, but I don’t think they’ll stay that close.” — Basil

“Welcome to the real world. I have a VERY select few people from high school that I still talk to, and I only graduated five years ago. People drift apart…” — Kyle P.

“I don’t think this is the end of Jennara, BUT I do believe that they will go through a tough transition period as they both explore their separate interests. I assume it will put a strain on their friendship as they figure out how to find their new roles in each other’s lives, and how to play them.” — CAdkinsMODEL

“My best friends from high school all have lives to live, and even though time passes between us talking, we still can pick up right where we left off when we see each other. I still have faith in them.” — Niki R.

“Just because they’re going in different directions, doesn’t mean they won’t stay friends.” — Ashlee S.

“I’ve had the same best friends for five to ten years. It’s definitely possible, ladies. Yeah, we maybe have had fights and whatnot, but at the end of the day, it’s sisterhood.” — Taylor C.
