Picture this: You’re halfway through your last semester of college, and you’re chillin’ on a white-sand beach with an ice-cold colada in your hands. Life is good, but it’s about to get better, because MTV has just arrived to make you a star…for at least 15 minutes. IT’S SPRING BREAK!

That’s how the story’s gone since 1986, when MTV first hit the beach to capture hundreds of barely-clothed college kids kickin’ it together on camera. And, it’s that time of year again! On April 3 and 4 from 4/3-7/6c, April Rose and Andrew Schulz of MTV2′s “Guy Code” will host “mtvU Spring Break 2014” from Cancun, and they’ll share the stage with some pretty awesome performers like Trey Songz, Cash Cash, Kid Ink and Afrojack.

Since it’s Flashback Friday and all, we’ve gathered some of the craziest/”how did this s**t even air on TV?” moments from MTV Spring Breaks past that even put Miley’s VMA stunt to shame. Check ‘em out, and tell us if you would have ever participated!

Spring Break’s Smartest Brain, 1989
The clip above from MTV’s iconic game show, “Remote Control,” is set in the birthplace of MTV Spring Break: Daytona Beach! In this episode, host Ken Ober tests three college students on random trivia, with categories written on babes in bikinis. Around the 16-minute mark, Ken calls upon “Studboy” a.k.a. Adam Sandler to offer the students some safe-sex tips. His advice? “Always look both ways before pulling out.”

Chick or Chicken, 1998
In a game called “Spring Broke,” contestants had to do whatever they were ordered for some cold-hard cash. This girl proved she had no problem rubbing honey all over her hot bod, then rolling around in some feathers for a bit of dough. In the end, she walked away with some extra money, and we’re pretty sure most of the guys in the crowd also left with their pockets full…

Put Foot In Mouth, 1998
In this photo from the same contest, a woman licks a stranger’s whipped cream-covered foot to end her broke streak. We hope the producers paid her a good chunk of change for this stunt — she may have needed it for her post-Spring Break therapy bill.

Whip It Good, 2000
Last but not least, MTV welcomed in the new millennium by having Spring Breakers strip down to their birthday suits for a game hosted by none other than Jerry Springer. Contestants walked the catwalk under the hot Cancun sun, wearing only whipped cream to cover their private parts, all to the sounds of Right Said Fred‘s hit song, “I’m Too Sexy.” How apropos.
