Is Mac Miller’s Scottish Ensemble A Prelude To Yet Another Alter Ego? [Photo]

Mac Miller dazzles in plaid.

Before “Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family” came to MTV2, few people knew the real Mac Miller. But when the Pittsburgh-born rapper opened up his L.A. home to legions of fans this past spring, we learned he’s a man of many layers…and faces. The entertainer often embodies alternate personalities to express himself, and a curious new Instagram shot leads us to believe he may have added a FOURTH to the mix.

Over the weekend, Mac posted the pic above of himself wearing a kilt, plaid tie, poufy hat and “I <3 Scotland” T-shirt, and although his caption, “back to my Scottish roots,” could mean he’s simply paying homage to one-half of his heritage (his dad is Scottish and his mom is Jewish), we have reason to believe the 21-year-old never plays dress-up without a purpose. Exhibits A, B and C: Larry, Larry and Larry. With three alter egos hailing from his mom’s side of the family tree, we’re predicting this new look isn’t just another Kanye fashion moment, but the first of many McCormick-inspired personae.

We sure hope to see you during Season 2, McMac McCormick!
