Danielle Fishel may be okay with breaking Throwback Thursday rules, but another ’90s TV darling, known best for playing a teenage witch, understands the importance of showing up on time (broom or no broom). Earlier today, Melissa Joan Hart shared a #TBT photo celebrating her friendship with another popular star of the decade. You may have heard of her: Britney Spears?
“Me and Britney back in the day,” Melissa wrote with the photo. Kinda makes you feel ancient, huh?
A little back story: In 1999, Melissa starred in the movie “Drive Me Crazy,” and even appeared in Britney’s music video for the film’s title song. That same year, Brit returned the favor and guest-starred on Season 4 of “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” where she was summoned to give Sabrina a private concert. And you thought Selena and Taylor were tight!
Melissa told her Instagram followers that the snapshot is just a tease of what’s to come. In her new book, “Melissa Explains It All: Tales From My Abnormally Normal Life,” out October 29, the actress says she’ll dish on all the juicy details from her child star past, including more on her friendship with Brit! Yeah, we’re adding that to our winter reading list, like, now.
Catch episodes of “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” every morning on MTV2!
