The “Sabrina The Teenage Witch” cast, Season 1.
Every weekday morning, all you ’90s TV junkies can count on MTV2 for some “Saved by the Bell” and “Boy Meets World” nostalgia, and for those who miss the days of “Living Single” and “Everybody Hates Chris,” all you have to do is circle back in the evening for reruns. But just when you thought you had Saturday mornings all to yourself, we’ve done gone added an early wake-up call to your schedule with “Sabrina The Teenage Witch”! Sorry not sorry?
Every Saturday, you can now catch bubbly blonde witch Sabrina Spellman (and her magic finger!) during two 2-hour blocks, the first starting at 7a/6c and the second at 11a/10c. Guess you’ll just have to sleep when you’re dead. We kid, we kid — feel free to nap during commercial breaks!
Seriously though, you can thank us later — right now you’ve got some catching up to do. Because the show wrapped a whopping 10 years ago (we know, we feel old, too), we’ve put together a quick refresher on the zany cast of characters — check out the who’s who GIF guide below to reacquaint yourselves, and set your alarms ASAP so you don’t miss out on the trip down memory lane!
Sabrina’s a 16-year-old witch with a magic finger that is both a gift and a curse. Being in high school is tough on its own, but she’s also gotta deal with being supernatural.
What would a witch be without her trusty feline sidekick…who talks? Salem is actually a 500-year-old warlock imprisoned in a furry cat body because he once plotted to take over the world. But he’s super-cool now.
Aunt Zelda and Aunt Hilda
From the moment Sabrina’s aunts broke the news that she’s not a normal mortal human, they’ve been her guiding force into the world of witches, because, yup, they’re witches, too! Why it took them 16 years to tell Sabrina about her supernatural powers, we’ll never understand.
Despite being a powerful witch, Sabrina is still a hormonal teen. Enter Harvey Kinkle: the loyal and caring boyfriend, who has absolutely no idea his main squeeze knows how to turn a broom into a Mustang.
Libby is the spoiled brat who makes Sabrina’s life at school a living nightmare — namely because she’s got a major crush on Harvey. She’s the girl you love to hate.
As if dealing with Libby isn’t difficult enough, school principal Mr. Kraft is constantly giving a Sabrina and her friends a hard time. He sometimes gets food stuck in his mustache.
Like Harvey, Sabrina’s best friend, Jenny, is a mortal and is out of the loop on Sabrina’s witch status. She’s also super, super awkward, but Sabrina loves her anyway.
Valerie, Sabrina’s BFF later on in the series, can be a bit of an airhead, but always stands by Sabrina’s side.
