You Win Some, You Lose Some: ‘Rivals’ Cara Maria And Cooke Are Expert Lumberjacks, CT Is Less So

Much of “The Challenge“‘s entertainment value is the drama that erupts off the field, but “Rivals II” includes some incredible competitors whose moves keep us on the edge of our seats, too. Each week, we’re pointing out the highs and lows of every mission, so you can watch every triumph, and every COMPLETE AND UTTER FAILURE, on a loop forever and ever. You win some, you lose some…

The “Rivals II” gang continues to hang tough in Thailand, but much to their chagrin, the most recent episode of the show was straight out of Paul Bunyan’s wet dream. From “XXX Games” to the first female elimination round, there was a whoooole ‘lotta sawing going on, and while it brought some much-needed wins for a few players, it left others sad casualties of the lumber yard. Check out a shining highlight and a humiliating low from Episode 2, below!

WIN SOME: It wasn’t long after Cara Maria joined the game that she and Cooke were forced to fight for their lives in the Jungle, but the new team proved they could run with the best of ‘em, and their ability to stay calm under pressure made them the victors of “Hanging By A Thread.” Anastasia and Jessica, on the other hand, got all wet on their way out of the game.

LOSE SOME: CT isn’t usually one to quit, but his partner, Wes, didn’t really have a problem with sitting the most recent mission out. Wes’ refusal to play along left CT trying to cut through a few logs by his lonesome, but at least he got a little satisfaction in showing the ladies what he’s got.
