After a far too long hiatus, Nick Cannon’s “Wild ‘N Out” returns July 9 to MTV2! As we await the highly anticipated sketch show comeback, each Throwback Thursday we’ll be getting nostalgic about some of the most memorable moments and cast members from the series’ first four seasons. We can’t think of a better way to utilize the #TBT hash tag!
#TBT: Pitbull performs on the “Wild ‘N Out” stage.
After Pitbull‘s new animated film, “Epic,” premieres this weekend, the rapper/producer/songwriter can add voice-over actor to his laundry list of talents. The guy’s becoming a verifiable jack-of-all-trades, and his staying power in the entertainment biz proves that the key to longevity is versatility. Back in 2006, though, Pitbull was still in the early stages of his career, and didn’t stray far from his rapping roots — even when he appeared on Season 2 of “Wild ‘N Out.” When he graced Nick Cannon‘s improv stage, the only thing on his agenda was showing the MTV crowd how to “Shake” it in the 305.
The evolution of Pitbull’s career has also led to a drastic change in his look. These days, it’s rare to see the rapper wearing anything but a suit and tie, but seven years ago, Pit had no problem donning more casual attire. The shades, however, have always been part of the Miami native’s signature swag.
#TBT: Juicy J flashes his grill on “Wild ‘N Out.”
Another shade-sporting hip-hop star who exposed his funny bone on “Wild ‘N Out” was Juicy J, but unlike Pit, J rocked his finest diamond-studded accessories for the shoot. Luckily, MTV viewers weren’t blinded by the bling, and Nick brought Juicy back, along with the rest of Three 6 Mafia, for three out of the four seasons. Will they be back for the show’s return? You’ll just have to tune in to MTV2 on July 9th to find out!
