“BUCKWILD” fans were devastated to learn last Monday that cast member Shain Gandee died in a tragic accident that also claimed the lives of his uncle and a family friend. Shain, who was a vibrant, good-natured member of the MTV family, was remembered Sunday in a funeral at the Charleston Municipal Auditorium in West Virginia, where the 21-year-old’s loved ones honored him by wearing camouflage and neon “Gandee Candy” tees.
Many of you have asked how you can pay respect to Shain’s family following his passing. In lieu of flowers, they have requested you consider researching and donating to a select few charities. Read a little about them below, and head over to MTV ACT if you would like information on coping with loss.
