The RidicuList: Life Lessons On Siberian Sex Appeal, Fighting Gravity And Mama Drama

Rob Dyrdek has taught us so many things over the years, from what it means to love a Big man to how the awesomeness of being a kid can live on within a “Fantasy Factory.” However, when it comes to cautionary tales, there is no finer teaching tool than Rob’s crowning glory: the ode to accidents we call “Ridiculousness.” Each week, we’ll pass along the three most valuable life lessons handed down by Rob and his crew in order to keep you safe, sound and off of this show.

On last night’s episode, Rob, Chanel and Steelo showed us the kind of critical thinking that keeps people alive:

Life Lesson #1: No shirt, no shoes, no teeth? No problem.
Russia is a beautiful country with a rich cultural history…none of which will ever make it onto “Ridiculousness.” However, some of its zany inhabitants brought plenty of show-worthy moments to the table. Hopped up on courage candy and armed with video cameras, they displayed their love for the motherland by stripping down to their skivvies, popping out their dentures and jumping off a roof. Na zdorovye!

Life Lesson #2: In the epic battle of gravity vs. booze, gravity always wins.
We’ve all been there: One moment you’re hanging out with your buddies, totally upright; the next, you’re horizontal in a ditch with your shoes in another state. One of the most important lessons to learn when you’re sauced is that, while all your boozy bravado may have you convinced you can outsmart gravity, you sure as hell can’t. Try as you might to lean, sit or even counter the earth’s pull by walking backwards, the laws of physics are gonna get you in the end.

Life Lesson #3: Mother knows less.
Moms are our first caregivers, our first role models, and for the unlucky folks whose mothers made it into Rob’s “MILS: Mothers I’d Like to Slam” segment, their first source of embarrassment. Whether it’s smashing a slide, tearing a trampoline or simply showing off the stuff that only dad should have to see, these MILS served as a reminder as to why we only visit at holidays.
