Fans Pay Tribute To ‘Jersey Shore’ With Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’ [Video]

Katy Perry‘s “Firework” urged fans to harness their own sense of empowerment, but when a few “Jersey Shore” viewers got a hold of the pop anthem, it began to sing a different tune. In honor of the show’s final season, a group of die hard “Shore”-heads made their way to Seaside Heights to film the most sincere mockumentary music video ever. Not only does it feature a dude in Snooki-drag, but it has all the boardwalk’s finest rides and brings back some epic “Shore” memories (WHERE’S THA BEACH?!?!?!). We can say with confidence that they succeeded.

“Just Jersey Turnpike, like you’re in Seaside Heights,” mock-Nicole sings as the song swells in the fan-submitted video. Non-JWOWW and sort of-Sammi join in to describe the lasting cultural impact of GTL, heaps of bronzer and the SamRon roller-coaster. They even throw in a much-appreciated nod to “Snooki & JWOWW!” “Let’s go to Season 10!” they sing just before signing off. If only, friends…if only.
