If ever there was a holiday during which drunken stupor gets a pass, it's St. Paddy's Day, and on the next "Real World: St. Thomas," Brandon, the group's proud Boston boy, struggles to stay dry after committing to give up alcohol. As Robb and Marie pound shots in front of him, he's not sure how much sober "fun" he can handle, and seems a single step away from falling off the wagon.
Instead of dancing in the streets with 'Toya, Swift and Laura, Brandon irresponsibly chooses to place himself at a bar with the show's party couple in this sneak peek of Wednesday's episode. 'Toya doesn't seem to get why Brandon can't have a good time without booze, but it becomes clear how much of a crutch alcohol is to him as he sinks into self-pity mode. "I'm gonna screw up," Brandon declares while pondering the repercussions of breaking his promise. "I'm gonna get really wasted."
