The show's name says it all: "Awkward." And, going into its second season, we've decided it deserves a Hall of Fame Shame where the most cringeworthy moment of each episode can reside in its own twisted sort of glory. Each week, we're adding a new video clip to the collection--check out our first below!
The Internet is the watermark for official relationship declarations--even Dan Savage had something to say about DTRing on good ol' FB. So when Jake sent Jenna a virtual request to be his girlfriend on last week's "Awkward" premiere, she was both excited and terrified. J wasn't sure she was ready to take the leap into exclusive cyberspace love, particularly with a textile mill's worth of loose ends still left to tie up with Matty McKibben.
When Jake confronted Jenna about the fact that she'd kept his question hanging in virtual limbo, the best she could do was pretend she had accidentally let Matty's non-existent cat outside. Ultimately, Jenna decided to click the "accept" button, but she was anything but a cool customer during the process. Check out our first inductee to the Awkward Hall of Shame:
