It's remarkable the way Catelynn continues to grow and learn from her decision to form an adoption plan for Carly, but as we saw in the Season 4 premiere episode of "Teen Mom," coping with the absence of her daughter has been an ongoing battle. Sure, there are plenty of other serious matters happening in the present to steal away her and Tyler's attention (like Butch's release from jail), but there are also moments when a slew of what-ifs flood their minds and they return to a place filled with guilt and sadness.
In this sneak peek of Tuesday's new episode, Catelynn and her encouraging grandmother attend an adoption support group meeting to share their thoughts and feelings. It's been well over two years since the young mom placed her biological daughter with Brandon and Teresa, but Catelynn takes the floor and tells the room that saying goodbye to her baby was the hardest thing she's ever done. It stills chokes her up.
