Imagine the surge of adrenaline you'd get if you were to answer the phone one day and hear the voice of an MTV producer saying you've just been selected to appear on "Real World." What would immediately race through your mind? This is a dream come true, perhaps? You would think! But for the seven cast members castaways hand-picked to relocate to the U.S. Virgin Islands for the series' 27th season, reactions were a mix of butterflies, physical insecurity and fear of family judgment.
In the St. Thomas interviews below, LaToya, the self-proclaimed HBIC, says her first fixation was finding hairstyles suitable for the humid Caribbean climate. (Fair enough, fair enough.) And her roommate, Marie (who, when she opens her mouth, reminds us exactly of Kristin Cavallari!), was concerned with how her parents would respond to seeing her consume massive amounts of alcohol. (Again, warranted.)
