Lacey Hamilton essentially killed any fan following during Season 1's final episode of "Awkward" when it was inferred that she authored the Carefrontation letter addressed to her daughter. But before you ready the torches and pitchforks, remember that things aren't always what they seem (especially in Jenna's world), and consider that there might be more to Mrs. Hamilton's story than any of us know. She might just have her very own Matty McKibben!
Entertainment Weekly recently reported that "Ringer" star Kris Polaha will join the show's cast next season for a two-episode arc, during which his character will have some sort of story line with Lacey. And, since we at Remote Control always strive to put two and two together, we did some digging and found an article from way back in September in which series creator Lauren Iungerich said she wanted to explore the idea that Nikki Deloach's character might have ditched her own Matty back in the day. Hmm...
"Lacey married her Jake, and next season to see Lacey confronted with her Matty would be really amazing," Iungerich said. Ah! Wonder if he smells his armpits, too?
