If small town gossip that's standard of Minden, Louisiana, is telling, "Danger" shows more promise as an MMA fighter than his experience might indicate. He won his first two matches on "Caged" in pretty decisive fashion and his quick head and even quicker feet haven't met anyone they can't out-maneuver. But after Matt quit his job, moved into his mother's house and began to focus completely on his quest to get a pro UFC contract, we wondered if it might have been to soon to make such drastic changes.
Yes, "Danger" is a force to be reckoned with. With laser focus and freshly shaved legs on his side, the guy already has the look and feel of a pro in the octagon. Still, he is an amateur, and as Daniel demonstrated in Episode 1, even someone that stands atop mountain's peak one day can topple off the side the next. And while less time spent working for hourly wages might mean more minutes in the gym, we have a feeling Matt's mother's drinking, which spiked after her breakup, might be more of a burden than her son is ready to deal with.
