The filmmaker gives us a wink during production of Season 2.

In 2008, when a seat in the Oval Office was anyone's for the taking, Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama captured the intrigue of young American voters when he promised change would come to a nation under significant political and social duress. Four years after the man's election, some things have certainly changed, and others haven't, but the GOP is looking to reclaim the seat it last occupied in 2009, and Andrew Jenks has got his eye on those gunning for the incumbent's spot in an extension of his "World."

With the "Power Of 12," through which Jenks will capture his conversations with Republican presidential candidates, the filmmaker will bring the concerns of his generation to Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney and other GOP campaigns that strive to capture the young vote Obama dominated only a few years ago. While the focus of the elephants is generally centered on restoring a faltering economy, don't for a second think that Jenks will shy away from the topics of same-sex marriage, policy surrounding immigrants' rights and other hot-button issues the red might generally prefer to sweep under the rug.

Check out a trailer for the series of MTV News specials, which will also feature Jenks' attempt to reconnect with the president who's aiming to extend his term, plus make sure to keep up with the campaign trails as November 2012 draws near. And, oh yeah: VOTE!

We haven't spent a considerable amount of time reporting on Hollywood's A-list super couple, Brangelina, but we totally get why the talented pair have become a tabloid favorite. For one thing, they're both sickeningly beautiful. And so are their kids, of which keep multiplying. They also have enough money between them to build a small village for the underprivileged; in fact, they're probably already working on that.

Because we're the official MTV show blog, we've spent much more time following the romance highs and lows of another "it" couple: Sammi and Ronnie, who recently made it clear during the "Jersey Shore Hook-Up: Live Edition" that they were putting the breaks on their relationship. For now, it seems they've been living separate lives (sniff)--Ronnie's gotten into modeling and Sam's just been laying low. But that doesn't mean the two have stopped thinking about each other, which is evident in Ron's recent interview with Latina.com, where he compares SamRon's media attention to that of Tinseltown's heavy-hitters, Brangelina. "Me and Sam are like the new Brad and Angelina; we're like Hollywood's couple," he says in the video below.

+ What do you think about Ronnie's bold statement? Are SamRon as big as Brangelina, or is he way off? Take the poll and weigh in!

Last season the brilliant minds behind MTV's "Challenge" franchise brought you "Rivals," a brutal physical and mental competition in which longtime enemies were paired together in two-person teams and forced to get along for the greater good (of their bank accounts). It was an interesting experiment in human nature, and the general findings were that people who dislike each other a) often have much more in common than they think and b) are willing to put aside their grudges if a whole lot of money's on the table.

But what happens when you throw love--and scorn--into the mix? Now that could be a totally different story...

On Jan. 25 at 10/9c, "The Challenge: Battle of the Exes" premieres on MTV. The idea is so genius, it's hard to believe no one thought of it before. Pairing up former sweethearts, many still harboring feelings of longing and/or resentment...we give you complete permission to give a great big squeal.

+ Check out the trailer for the new season to find out who's coupled with who (why, yes, that IS CT and Diem pictured above!) and tell us which team has a chance of hitting a homer, either on the playing field or between the sheets.

Week after week on "Teen Mom 2," we watch helplessly as Leah anxiously faces vague doctors' assessments and more uncertainty about her baby Ali's health. But as difficult as it is to witness her struggle for answers, the reality is that there are many mothers currently experiencing the same exact confusion and heartache.

In this week's "Teen Mom 2 After Show," two audience members courageously describe their children's physical issues, failing to fight back the tears that understandably come with simply discussing the topic. Take at look at this video clip from the after show, in which the rest of the young mothers in attendance and host SuChin Pak offer an empathetic ear. Leah feels a special bond with the girls that are experiencing her own situation and takes solace in the fact that putting her story out there is helping so many others cope.

Jenelle and Kieffer's toxic relationship appeared to finally lose its momentum on tonight's episode of "Teen Mom 2." After Kieffer got physically aggressive and kicked in her car door, she not only reached out to her mom and asked to come back home, but sought out the help of the legal system and pressed charges against him for domestic abuse.

When Jenelle went to file a formal complaint at the magistrate, she revealed that this wasn't the first time Kieffer had been violent. In the below clip from our latest "Teen Mom 2 After Show," she explains what pushed her over the edge this time, telling SuChin Pak that she wanted to take a stand and let her boyfriend know that his behavior was absolutely unacceptable. Take a look at the video and share your comments about Jenelle's decision to press charges.

Kailyn demonstrated how serious she was about getting a new place to live during last week's episode of "Teen Mom 2," but tonight, she wasn't quite ready to share her decision with her mother. She strategically waited until both her mom and her boyfriend were at work to move out of their house, and in just under three hours, she and some friends packed up all of her possessions and took off.

Kail was later forced to answer to her mother in person, although she didn't bat an eye when Suzi expressed disappointment in her sneaky behavior. Suzi felt that she provided her daughter with the perfect living arrangement and was shocked that she'd leave without discussing it with her first, but Kailyn wasn't open to her point of view.

+ Should Kailyn have voiced her motivation to move ahead of time, or did she do the right thing by avoiding conflict and relocating on her own terms? Take the poll, then check out a clip from this week's "Teen Mom 2 After Show," where the young mother explains to SuChin Pak that Suzi was completely off base with her remark about her "having it made." As far as Kailyn's concerned, residing in a place where she felt unwelcome made the situation anything but ideal.

Get your hands on JWOWW's 'Jersey Shore' Season 1 pants, among other threads, to support Love Is Louder.

In the spirit of the season of giving (and because certain ensembles just won't do on a snowmobile), JWOWW's auctioning off a number of the threads she's worn along her "Jersey Shore" journey to support a cause close to her heart--putting an end to bullying.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from Jenni's sales will go directly to the Love Is Louder movement, which aims to cultivate support for those who've been on the receiving end of maltreatment in school, at home or elsewhere. So whether you can give someone a sense of relief by getting your hands on a Shore Store crop top, or widen support groups by putting some cash down on her uniform from the pizza place in Florence, Italy, we urge you to consider. That stray bit of spray tan caked into the collar is just the icing on the cake.

+ Check out JWOWW's website, her auction page on ebay.com and the Love Is Louder website for more information on the campaign you'll be helping, as well as how you can smuggle your way into JWOWW's wardrobe. And for all things do-goodery, make sure to head to MTV Act.

Roughly nine years ago, Ashton Kutcher, mastermind of MTV's series, "Punk'd," delivered what would go down as one of the most carefully orchestrated pranks of all time. Kutcher hired actors to pose as the IRS, and together, they tricked a confused (and possibly stoned) Justin Timberlake into believing all of his valuables were being repossessed. The pained pop star came home to find a swarm of agents and helplessly whimpered over his devastating loss (relive that special moment here); it was glorious.

Since the network's reviving the hidden-camera show next year, we started thinking about other personalities we'd like to see punk'd. Check out our list below, then be sure to tune in for a first look of the new season on Dec. 31 during the live "NYE in NYC 2012" special.

Olivia Palermo
"The City"
This fashion-forward socialite-turned-journalist-turned-model is not one for being misled, which is why seeing the former face of ELLE.com get thrown for a loop is so absolutely perfect. 'Liv doesn't strike us as the malleable type, so this one would certainly take some plotting.

Pauly D
"Jersey Shore"
The Seaside kids have a thing for prank wars, (remember Angelina's pillow present in Miami?), so the DJ would definitely appreciate the efforts of the "Punk'd" creative team. But what makes Pauly unique is that we've never seen him shed a tear. Sure, we've watched him bug out and scream at his roommates for acting like imbeciles, and he appeared to be on the verge of a breakdown when he overdid it at the tanning salon, but don't you kinda wanna see him wail, if just once?

Sadie Saxton
"Awkward."
Sadie is the ultimate mean girl--some might even call her a byotch. She spent most of her free time scheming ways to ruin Jenna's life, so turning things around and outfoxing the high-school bully would be a grand achievement.

As far as we know on "Teen Wolf," Lydia's still in a coma and Peter Hale's remains are helping a nice azalea patch see unprecedented bloom. But apparently, she woke up long enough and he was resurrected to a point that the two could play a second game of cat and mouse, so to speak. And things, well, they still aren't looking good for the redhead.

Holland Roden recently lent some acting talent, sans lines, to former costar Ian Bohen for the filmmaker's short piece, "Morning Love." When the morning sun starts to peek through the window in the vid, Roden wakes up in a strange bed to find the evidence of her indiscretion scattered all over the floor (saucy, Holls!) and makes her way through her interest's apartment. She smiles at the sight of a toothbrush the guy left out for her, takes in the top nodes of his freshly pressed shirts and understandably sh**s herself when she finds an assault rifle, a couple of handguns and a hunting knife in his closet. The walk of shame is suddenly the least of her worries.

+ Take a look at "Morning Love" below and tell us why you think Peter Hale is still out for Lydia. And, if we can reopen the debate for a second: What do you think is going to happen to Beacon Hills' most popular girl when "Teen Wolf" returns?

During the season finale of "Real World: San Diego," Zach and Ashley shared a tearful goodbye, but they both made it clear that they intended to continue dating. We have no idea whether or not their San Diego-born relationship will withstand the agony of living apart, so we decided to look to other "Real World" couples for clues. Let's see if ZAshley have a chance at lasting romance.

Pam and Judd, "Real World: San Francisco"
No one expected these two to become a couple. For one thing, she was a busy medical student and he was a nerdy cartoonist. For another, she had a boyfriend at the time. So it was a surprise to all Frisco fans to learn that the two became a couple after the show ended. They have been married since 2001 and still live in The Bay.

Rachel, "Real World: San Francisco" and Sean, "Real World: Boston"
Rachel and Sean have three things in common: They're both "Real World" alumni, dedicated Republicans and very attractive. No wonder these two fell in love while filming "Road Rules: All Stars." They married 18 months after they met and have gone on to successful careers (Rachel as a guest host on "The View," and Sean as a first-year congressman). Rachel and Sean also have six (yes, six!) kids.

Alton and Irulan, "Real World: Las Vegas"
These roomies were instantly attracted to each other, which was problematic since Irulan already had a boyfriend. Eventually, they gave into temptation and hooked up, which led to a tempestuous romance filled with fights, tears and drama that lasted all season long. Alton and Irulan's relationship continued after the show ended, but they split up three years later. When the cast reunited in 2007, the exes revisited painful wounds and dragged old roomie Arissa into their mess.

Wes and Johanna, "Real World: Austin"
The "Austin" series is memorable for birthing two roommate romances. Wes and Johanna had a fun and flirty relationship during the show, and Wes even used Johanna to make his dream girl jealous. But these two only had eyes for each other once their season wrapped, and announced that they were dating during the reunion show. They both appeared on "Fresh Meat," and Wes pledged to use his prize money to buy the pretty brunette an engagement ring. Unfortunately, their relationship fizzled and the drama from the split played out during "The Ruins," when Wes, Johanna, and Wes' new girlfriend (KellyAnne from "Real World: Sydney") all competed on the show.
