Waiting for info about the next season of "The Challenge" has been agonizing, but finally, after what felt like endless radio silence, we got the news. "The Challenge: Battle of the Exes" is premiering on Jan. 25 at 10/9c, and the concept is about as explosive as it could possibly get. Exes, many of which don't get along or ended things on an awkward note, will now be forced to act as teammates, and if you watched the trailer, it looks like things get ugly. After we posted the first look yesterday, many of you commented about it on Remote Control and Facebook. Here's a sample of what was said:
Remote Control
"Johanna and Wes would of been a better match!! This show is siiiick! CT is so sexy." -- Vanessa
"These Challenges are the reason I still watch MTV. I'm a little bummed that Kenny isn't on here, though. And as much as I can't stand Danny or Melinda, I think it would make good TV to have seen them on here since they got a divorce. Still, I'm excited that The Challenge is back." -- docs.and.recs
"I was afraid Frank would be on here, too; thank God none of his roommates hooked up with him. Have to say, wish Kenny was on here though." -- jessilynn

We haven't had a chance to interact with Siri, the new iPhone 4S virtual assistant, but from what we hear, she does and says some weird things--and, after spotting Snooki's Twitter this week, we have to agree. The "Jersey Shore" gadget geek took a screenshot of her recent chatter with Ms. Siri, and their back-and-forth repartee appears as though it could be a convo between her and Jionni...but it's not. She's talking to a droid, more or less. So bizarre.
Elsewhere, Vinny the existential philosopher got real deep, calling into question why we refer to the loo as a bathroom when in fact, we're not bathing in there (good point, Vin!), and Pauly experienced an unfortunate quasi-Grinch moment when he discovered that he couldn't fit his nostalgic Santa hat over his blowout. Skip the hat, dude, and ask Sammi where to get some reindeer ears! Problem solved.
Check out what they and other MTV stars were up to this week:

Everyone remembers middle school, even if they don't want to. At the end of eighth grade, you passed around yearbooks and wrote cheesy things like "Never Change," "Stay Kool" or "HAGS," but really, there were only a few people you actually wanted to keep in touch with, and even less that you perceived to be truly "kool."
We wonder if that's the way it was when the "Real World: San Diego" cast parted ways. Sure, there were group hugs and crab circles on the final episode, but which of these former strangers will stay friends? We certainly don't have any money on Zach and Frank becoming pen pals, especially not after seeing last night's "Reunion."
+ If you were one of the chosen casties of San Diego, which of your roommates would you really work to keep in touch with? Would you want to stay close with Alex so you can tour with her when she becomes a famous songstress, or be buddy-buddy with Ashley so you always have a workout partner? Let us know which Real Worlder you deem worthy of an extended friendship in the poll below. Oh, and don't forget to stay kool, k?

Miss Sweetheart glows at the 2011 MTV VMA after-party in Los Angeles, then goes au naturel for xoJane.com.
If the "Jersey Shore" beauty queens taught a course in makeup application, the syllabus would be structured around the following themes: How To Apply Fake Eyelashes, When Eyeliner Just Isn't Enough and Bronzer: 'Nuff Said. And we'd probably sign up for the class, cuz even though the Seaside glamazons use a lot more cosmetics than we're used to putting on, they're always smokin' hot and photo-ready for the red carpet or a night of club-hopping.
Thing is, there's a time and place for globs of makeup, and some might call it unnecessary to wear hot pink lipstick and five layers of liquid foundation to the drugstore, which is why xoJane.com decided to give Sammi, the gal who typically takes the longest to get ready, a makeunder. Earlier this month, they met up with Sam at the beach and insisted on changing her makeup routine for the shoot. "[Sammi] was wearing black eyeliner at 9:30 am. My kind of woman, to be sure--but I immediately asked Shannon, our makeup artist, to make sure all of it got taken off," says Cat of xoJane.com.
So how much time did the pros spend on the makeunder? According to the article, a whopping 5 minutes--and we think she looks absolutely stunning.

What goes up, must come down? Not necessarily, if we're talking about JWOWW's new Perfect Tan Bikini line, or the boobs it's barely covering in these promotional pics hot off the "Jersey Shore" siren's official website. According to Jenni's personal message underneath the revealing photos, her suits are both sexy and functional:
"JWOWW by Perfect Tan Bikini is made of a unique fabric and silicone base that allows you to remove the straps for optimum tanning and not worry about your top moving all over the place. The silicone adhesive is activated by the heat, so the hotter you get while tanning in the sun, the more your top will stay in place."

Earlier today, we spotted a sneak peek photo on Twitter of Nate giving ZAshley a menacing death stare at the "Reunion" taping, so we had a feeling when the show aired tonight, we'd see some low points. All season long, the "Real World: San Diego" friend divide grew further and further apart, with Frank, Alex, Sam, Nate and Priscilla holding it down for Team Crab Circle, and ZAshley making googly eyes at each other in their own little bubble.
Tonight, as host Maria Menounos fired off a round of antagonizing questions about forced friendships and feelings of dejection, the divide grew even wider. Ashley tried to explain why she spent such little time with the rest of the house, claiming it was because she was focused on nurturing a new relationship with Zach and there simply wasn't enough time to develop connections with everyone. Frank, who initially appeared to be making silent amends by wearing Zach-approved cowboy boots, huffed, puffed and blew down their little Barbie house of excuses. So much for the ostrich leather.

Jenelle considered ending her relationship with Kieffer ever since Season 1 of "Teen Mom 2," but it's been tough for her to follow through. At times, he provided her with comfort that she was unable to get elsewhere, and she just couldn't bear to give that up. However, the second he put his hands on her during the most recent episode, she knew that she had to break up with him and press charges. Shoving her was unacceptable, and the only way she could ensure that it wouldn't happen again was to file a formal complaint.
In this sneak peek of Tuesday's all-new episode, Jenelle deals with the aftermath of Kieffer's aggression by driving him to jail. With an arrest warrant already issued, he decides to turn himself in, but not before inappropriately guilting Jenelle for her actions. It's already a terrible circumstance, and trying to deflect the blame seems to only aggravate her.

We're tempted to supply you with a really embarrassing anecdote about the time we made a tribute diorama (fine, the times we made dioramas) for a '90s pop star who shall remain nameless (hint: he had curly blond hair and once wore a chambray denim suit that matched his then-girlfriend's outfit), but we decided against it. Instead, we're going to give you some words of wisdom about being a superfan: It doesn't always pay off.
Well, unless you're Kaitlyn and Amanda, two energetic 19-year-old girls from New York who clearly really love "Teen Wolf." MTV's been attentively keeping up with this creative set of lycanthrope followers, who've been producing a variety of hip-hop-inspired viral videos to demonstrate their support for Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski.
Sometime in late August, when Season 2 was announced, MTV decided to reward Kaitlyn and Amanda for their dedication. The girls were invited to our headquarters in Manhattan on the premise that peeps here wanted to give them a tour of the building, when in actuality, we sat them down in a conference room and played them a video of Tyler Posey and Dylan O'Brien telling them they'd won a trip to the Atlanta set where they could record two new raps for their popular YouTube page. (Man, dioramas seem so stupid in comparison!)
In appreciation of MTV's generosity, the gals did what they do best and channeled their energy into a new vid, but this time it was to thank us for the ultimate hookup. And, we have to say, IT'S AWESOME! Check it out:

The past two weeks have brought our office not only the gift of free candy canes and spice cakes, but even more exciting (yes, more exciting than CAKE), multiple visits from "Jersey Shore" cast members. Last Thursday, Mike, Sammi and Deena stopped by to shoot our first "Jersey Shore Hook-Up" of Season 5 (watch it Jan. 5 on MTV.com, right after the show premieres on MTV at 10/9c), and earlier today, Vinny G popped in for a very personal interview about a struggle he experiences in the first few episodes.
While we can't get into specifics about the nature of our discussion, we can, however, comment on his...hair. It appears, what was once just a faux hawk has evolved into a full-on mohawk! We even took this pretty photo for proof, not that we've ever been known to exaggerate...
+ Check out Vin's new funky 'do and tell us in the comments whether you're diggin' it or not!

It's been painful for Leah to continuously take her daughter, Ali, to doctor's appointments, only to walk away with cloudy answers regarding Ali's slow development. The most recent physician suggested Leah bring her daughter in for another test, and during this week's episode of "Teen Mom 2," the frustrated mother brought her baby in for what would hopefully be Ali's final MRI.
For so long, Leah was going to these appointments alone, but this time, Corey joined his wife for the unsettling trip to the hospital. In the bonus scene below, they comfort each other as they wait for their daughter to wake up from the anesthesia. The doctors confirm that everything went well, and as they load their precious little angel into the backseat of their car, Leah tells Corey how happy she'll be if the results suggest there's nothing wrong. We're crossing our fingers for them.
