Last season the brilliant minds behind MTV's "Challenge" franchise brought you "Rivals," a brutal physical and mental competition in which longtime enemies were paired together in two-person teams and forced to get along for the greater good (of their bank accounts). It was an interesting experiment in human nature, and the general findings were that people who dislike each other a) often have much more in common than they think and b) are willing to put aside their grudges if a whole lot of money's on the table.
But what happens when you throw love--and scorn--into the mix? Now that could be a totally different story...
On Jan. 25 at 10/9c, "The Challenge: Battle of the Exes" premieres on MTV. The idea is so genius, it's hard to believe no one thought of it before. Pairing up former sweethearts, many still harboring feelings of longing and/or resentment...we give you complete permission to give a great big squeal.
