A number of factors can prevent a person from shedding pounds, even after they've begun a rigorous fitness and diet plan. During the most recent episode of "I Used To Be Fat," the scale took awhile to budge as Lindsey pushed herself at the gym and started eating healthier. A troubled father-daughter dynamic seemed to account for part of the reason.
Check out a sneak peek of Tuesday's all-new episode, where we'll meet Latrice, an overweight teen that isn't seeing the results she wants. Her grandmother says she's lying about something, which frustrates Latrice and causes her to storm off. Hopefully she can figure out what's holding her back and eventually achieve her goal.

Kristin Cavallari popped up on "America's Next Top Model" earlier this season, but evidently the show was still in the market for some MTV talent on last night's episode, as Tyra Banks challenged the aspiring cover girls to pose as none other than Snooki. And, well, they sort of sucked. There were five voluminous "Jersey Shore" poufs atop five motorcycles (because...?), but each pretty much fell flat, and Bianca and Kayla were eliminated for their lack of guidette authenticity.
We can't hold it against the girls for coming up short. Nicole Polizzi is a figure that no amount of back-arching or hands-to-hippage can directly replicate. And since we're in the know, and we'd hate for the girls' time as Snooks to be time wasted, we've come up with some advice on how to handle the challenge should it ever present itself again.
Allison (above): The girl with a nosebleed fascination (uhhh...) should have put her thirst for blood to good use! If she'd delivered a couple of quick fists to the bike operator's eye or mouth, we'd certainly be headed in the right direction.

Vinny pops his collar at Candie's 2011 party, and Kris makes do during Fashion's Night Out.
Pauly D and Vinny were permanently attached at the hip throughout Season 4 of "Jersey Shore"--especially during the finale--but their bromance apparently has a little competition! According to UsMagazine.com, Vin has been hobnobbing with fellow reality TV star and recently wed Kris Humphries in California. Say it ain't so!
On Tuesday, Vin and Mr. Kim Kardashian broke bread at STK in Los Angeles, where they were swarmed with cameras immediately following their "boys night out." Check out the video below, where Vinny, who finally fesses up to ditching his guido garb for hipster threads (holy purple pants!), is asked whether Kris has replaced the honorable Pauly D as his best bud. Vin acts coy, so we're wondering what that means for their marriage plans.

During tonight's episode of "Real World: San Diego," Frank and Sam were super hopeful that Gay Pride Weekend would act as a catalyst for some necessary roommate bonding. Unfortch, that didn't exactly happen. Ashley turned down the offer to participate because she almost went to Fire Island once and that was about enough exposure to an alternative lifestyle as she could handle. Zach, on the other hand, seemed like he was going to support the cause, but after commiserating with a military buddy, decided to opt out. But even before they turned a cold shoulder on everyone, Zach really hurt Sam when he said he would "beat the gay" out of her for threatening to toss his ping-pong paddle over the balcony.
Were you personally offended by Zach's comment, or did you shake it off? Take the poll, then check out a clip from this week's "Real World: Tide Report," where Nate says that he called Zach out on his insensitivity following the table tennis remark. Sam, naturally, was deeply hurt, which fueled her emotional breakdown later in the episode. Find out what finally got her to that point in the second clip below.

As their relationship progressed on "Real World: San Diego" and after dinners out got stale, Zach and Ashley made the natural couple's progression--they went to a shooting range and lit up a few targets. As Zach put it, there's nothing hotter than a girl with a gun, and if Ashley's smile was any indication, she was happy to give her guy a show with firearm in hand.
The debate over whether a girl who's packing heat is hot is a polarizing one, and something MTV has seen before. Remember when Heidi Montag posed with a pistol? How about when Taylor of "My Life As Liz" went hunting, camo and all? The sight of a woman with a weapon certainly gets the point across that its holder is in control, but, you know, guns are ultimately killers (from what we understand), and there's nothing worse than a stray bullet to ruin a really good date.
+ Sound off and tell us what you think--is the idea of a chick with a readied trigger finger hot, or is the reality that she's got a collection of bullets a little too off-putting?

Pure, glorious laughter permeated the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" studio last night, as Snooki elaborated on some personal details. There to promote her new book, "Confessions of a Guidette," and show off her "2-cent store" bracelets (well, that's certainly one way to fend off grabby fans), the "Jersey Shore" standout instantly had audiences giggling at/with her due to a self-confessed lack of literary knowledge (the mention of authors J.K. Rowling and Maya Angelou flew right over her pouf). Soon after, she elicited a confused flurry of chortles from the crowd while discussing her "gay" cat, Vito. When prodded by Kimmel on how she could decipher the feline's sexual preference, she commented, "It's always on me, and it listens to my stories." She also explained to the host, whom she apparently has a "ridic crush" on--despite the lack of juice in his head--that Vito has no problem with her outing him on television. "He's like, 'OK girl, go.'"
Check out the video clips below to hear more from the interview, including how she neglected to take full advantage of her status as a legal midget.

When "Beavis And Butt-Head" re-premieres tomorrow night on MTV (10/9c), it will have been nearly 14 years since the show first hit airwaves in 1993. The '90s hold a special place in our hearts, but we can't expect the two nitwits to be up to the same old tricks when the world around them has changed so much. Facebook? Bieber? These two have a lot to catch up on.
In the same vein, it would be irresponsible of us to expect the products of the Twitter era to jump on board with a show they know nearly nothing about. So that we're all on the same page (paper-made, tablet-projected or otherwise) by tomorrow night, here are a few things that those unfamiliar with B&B should know before they make their way back to the homeland.

The elusive Unit (air quotes) caused quite a stir during Season 4 of "Jersey Shore," as he played patsy to the razzle-dazzle of "Gym, Tan, Who's The Rat." But his role in Mike's cantankerous plan wasn't his only shining moment; the dude penetrated the Twitterverse, too. So just who is this mysterious man, and what the freak does he look like?
We decided to take matters into our own hands and Photoshop a composite image of what we imagine to be The Unit. It's a little rough--and yes, wildly disproportionate (hey, we're writers, not designers)--but you can see where we're going with this, right?

Because why WOULDN'T The Unit have a tape measure tattoo and bear a strong resemblance to The Hoff?

San Diego's Ashley has definitely got a pretty face, but we're still sorta waiting for her to reveal more of a personality (we mean that in the nicest way possible, Ash). It's obvious that she and Thor are best friends-with-[nothing yet], but it's a shame they can't find it in their unblemished hearts to connect with the rest of the "Real World" house.
In this behind-the-scenes bonus clip from the upcoming "Real World: After Show," the backstage cameras turn on just in time for a "Frank-out." He goes postal on the blonde beauty for making obtuse comments about gay soldiers during tonight's episode. He's super pissed, and she's, well, doing a horrible job defending herself. Check out the clip, then be sure and tune in at 10/9c to find out exactly what she said that made him so angry. And, of course, stick around for the "After Show" at 11/10c!

We here at Remote Control tend to keep things PG, er, 13, but we've been known to murmur obscenities under our breath when one of three things happen: 1) When our computers crash in the middle of writing an unsaved email, 2) When we miss out on free food in the pantry, and 3) When we read in the comments section that some of our audience missed a really good MTV special...and we don't have it online.
Although millions of people tuned in last Thursday for the "Jersey Shore Reunion," we realize that, in true "Jersey Shore" fashion, some of you were busy getting a head start on the weekend. Pretty dumb move at the time considering you lost out on seeing Snooki and Sitch tear each other apart, as well as a Team Meatball video montage worthy of real estate in the Uffizi, but luckily, we're giving you another shot at catching the entire cast relive all the dramatic moments from Season 4--we're re-airing the reunion tomorrow night at 9/8c!
Here's a little taste of what you can expect from Vinny and Pauly, who are apparently taking their relationship to the next level. We pray the wedding is televised.
