Remember when "Challenge" vet Johnny Bananas said back in August that he had plans to sue HBO over trademark infringement and everyone rolled their eyes? Welp, he just showed his hand, and there ain't a bluff in sight.
After sending the producers of the network's Emmy-nominated "Entourage" a cease-and-desist letter after a cartoon called "Johnny's Bananas" popped up on an episode, JB officially filed a lawsuit on Monday in New York, according to The Hollywood Reporter. His claims? "Unwarranted, unauthorized and unfavorable mention of plaintiff's name and personality, and allusions to plaintiff's physical and mental character." Yikes, that's a mouthful, and it has apparently caused the "Rivals" champ "tremendous emotional stress" (for those of you who forgot, the HBO character was an irritable ape with a spider monkey wife). Hopefully the whole of his $100,000 "Challenge" prize didn't go to a good lawyer. Or a bad one, for that matter.
