Audrina Patridge poses for the paps at Belvedere's RED launch last week.
If you were hoping for a second helping of Patridge family discord, we're sorry to say you're out of luck. Audrina Patridge's time as a leading lady in reality TV seems to have come to an end, according to The Hollywood Reporter, but don't extend your heartfelt condolences just yet. It seems 'Drina is more than OK with her VH1 show's short run and has more ambitious goals for the future.
"I’d love to do a period piece, medieval, like 'Troy,' " Audrina told THR, and added that she sees herself joining the ranks of Angelina Jolie and Judi Dench. "I would love to get dressed up in costumes and talk in an accent and film in another country."
Interest: piqued. So without further adieu, here are four historical heroines--real and fictional--Audrina Patridge needs to play on the silver screen:
Daisy Buchanan, "The Great Gatsby": Get those pearls ready--if Audrina wants a period piece, it'd be hard to by-step scene work with a room full of flappers. Baz Luhrmann's take on Nick Carraway and friends appears to have a release set for sometime in 2012. Carey Mulligan? Uh, try Audrina Patridge. All those rides on the back of Justin Bobby's bike should have prepared the socialite for plenty of rounds of shotgun in Gatsby's hot rod. WATCH OUT FOR MYRTLE.
Hester Prynne, "The Scarlet Letter": While the possibility of the starlet confusing the protagonist's "A" for "Audrina" seems like it might pose a problem for production, God could not have molded a more appropriate Hester Prynne. Proof? Audrina really understands scorn, sin and regret. You know, when it took her, like, 15 minutes to get into Les Deux that one time.
Joan of Arc: Joan-Joan led the French army to a number of crucial victories in the 15th century, and Audrina led Lauren Conrad to the pool at Park La Brea during "The Hills" Season 1. The role is contingent upon contract's provision of mascara that won't run with the woman's burning at the stake.
Gaby Garcia, "L.A. Candy": If you haven't read the book yet, Gaby's the kind, occasionally dim-witted and loyal friend who's easygoing but obliges producers' requests when asked to do or say certain things on camera. Ehhh, on second thought, Gaby might be a little bit beyond Audrina's catalog.
