When you're bumming a smoke off the girl you're subtly manipulating in order to get intimate info about the guy you've been getting down with behind dumpsters, it's only a matter of time before you feel your worth start to plummet. Especially when the girl is actually cool, so it's impossible to hate her.
Jenna had a particularly tough time controlling her jealousy and self-loathing on last night's "Awkward," but by the end of the episode she realized she had been acting stupid for, uh, thinking she was stupid.
Listen up, all you ladies: You're really not as disgusting as you feel. Sure, you might have hair in unsightly places or need a mint every now and again, but chances are that voice in your head that says you'd be better suited as some sort of leach field creature is a bit overstated. Girls and guys aren't hardwired quite the same way--a guy's cards are almost always on the table, and yours, well, aren't. So here's some advice from a friend who cares: When Matty says a relationship isn't his bag right now, take it at face value, pop in an Altoid or seven and get to gettin'. You've got better things to do than throw a one-person pity party.
And if all else fails, you've always got the "Jenna Lives" concert to look forward to, right?
