Don't you just hate when a nickname used frequently to describe you as a jackass lands on an Emmy-nominated comedy? Strife!
Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio, a Challenger many times over, plans to take HBO/Time Warner to court for trademark infringement if its series "Entourage" does not stop using the name "Johnny's Bananas" to describe a cartoon that popped up in the premiere for the show's eighth season. Devenanzio said the name, which "Entourage" used in reference to an irritable ape in the middle of a custody battle with an ex-wife spider monkey, is a clear attempt to capitalize on his identity.
"I intend to fight vigorously in defense of the years of hard work and dedication I've spent making Johnny Bananas a household name," Devenanzio tweeted Monday. "And the purpose of this lawsuit is aimed at protecting the integrity of my brand."
If you need a quick refresher of what exactly gives Johnny B. the integrity he speaks of, take a look at this clip from "The Island," in which he kindly tells Evelyn to take her telescope and shove it up her ass.
