If you haven't noticed by now, we think teenage anti-heroines are the piece de resistance of MTV (Daria! Liz Lee!) and modern day television as a whole. They remind us that feeling out of place--especially in high school--is not so abnormal. And our soon-to-be favorite socially challenged adolescent, Jenna, from MTV's new scripted series "Awkward" will surely join the esteemed ranks of the aforementioned ladies.
So what's Jenna really all about? Check out the video below, where Ashley Rickards (who plays our leading lady) and her costars discuss the unique qualities that make her character so relatable. Plus, be sure to tune in for the premiere on July 19 at 11/10c to watch her rise to sorta-popularity.
