Soundtrack Spotlight: A Day To Remember Knows ‘The Truth Below’

Just when you thought you were watching a romantic love story unfold, MTV’s original movie “The Truth Below” took a dark and twisted turn. What started off as a fun-filled flick about four college friends headed home from spring break wound up becoming a thriller about being forced to question your first instincts about people. In the case of Dante, he found out that his buddy Ethan was a psychopath and his secret crush, Jenna, wasn’t such a dream girl after all, which made the moody sounds of A Day To Remember playing in the background pretty fitting.

If you’re not familiar with this emo metal band, here’s the scoop: Hailing from Ocala, Florida, the group (vocalist Jeremy McKinnon, guitarists Neil Westfall and Tom Denney, bassist Joshua Woodard and drummer Bobby Scruggs) successfully produced their first EP themselves, selling more than 8,000 copies. Revered for their unique metal-core sound, A Day To Remember continues to grow their fan base (while replacing Denney with Kevin Skaff) and even earned a slot as one of MTV’s Artists To Watch of 2011!

Check out the music video for their intensely emotional song, “All I Want,” plus watch them perform it live in the second clip!
