Lauren Conrad Scores Book Deal Focusing On Fame-Seeker Stereotypes

MTV may have pulled the plug on Lauren Conrad‘s reality show, but she’s a go-getter and nothing’s going to stop her from building a wildly influential empire. According to UsMagazine.com, the former “Hills” star turned designer/author just locked in another three-book deal (her style guide and third novel, “Sugar and Spice,” hit the shelves back in October) with HarperCollins! So what’s LC writing about this time?

According to the website, her series is called “The Fame Game.” It will focus on the reality TV world and a conniving character from LC’s first series, Madison Parker. “We took the mean girl of the [L.A. Candy books], spinning her off,” Conrad tells the site.”This series is about a girl who loves everything that fame is, and that’s all she’s ever really wanted.”

Before you even start to draw parallels, LC swears her characters aren’t based off anyone: “No. We have fun with it! We kind of take [Hollywood] stereotypes.”
