What's shocking in your everyday life is (probably) very different from what we'd consider alarming inside the "Jersey Shore" house, which makes curating a list like this loads of work. But fun work, nonetheless. Let's all relive the cast's pilgrimage to Miami, where countless smush scandals and kitchen brawls awaited them.

Remember when Ronnie first unleashed his creepin' ways by tonguing down chicks behind Sammi's back (watch the mayhem here)? He earned himself an irrevocable spot in the IFF (I'm F***ed Federation) after that. The most offensive scene, however, occurred in the hot tub, when a guest's silicone-ish boob insert surfaced on the top of the Jacuzzi water and the boys responded by playing catch with it. That's definitely a repeat-worthy clip! Check it out below along with the rest of the Most Shocking Moments From 2010:

On next week's series premiere of "I Used To Be Fat," we'll meet Gabriella, a beautiful young teenager that's trying to take control of her life through fitness and dieting. During a heartfelt meeting with her mother and trainer, Gabriella brings up her mother's maybe-not-helpful weight-loss strategies, which include purposefully leaving out cookies and snacks as a test.

Check out the sneak peek below, where Gabriella explains to her mom that she's weak when it comes to food and that she really needs her on board if she's going to fix her eating habits. Plus, after the jump, check out four other sneak peeks of the premiere episode, which airs Dec. 29 at 10/9c.

Even though TV shows and movies can make it seem like adoption is a common outcome of teen pregnancy ("Juno," anyone?), the truth is that fewer than 2 percent of teens who have babies choose it. As we saw in Ashley's episode of “16 and Pregnant,” adoption can be a very difficult experience--but it can also affect the people involved in a very positive way. We talked to one young woman, also named Ashley, who had a meaningful story to share--check out the interview with her here.

Why did you choose adoption?
There is nothing greater than helping someone have a family, and that's what I did. I gave them something they wanted so badly but couldn't do on their own. I did it for the little person who was growing inside of me; he deserved more than I could give him.

Do you have any regrets?
None. It's hard, but I'm not sorry. I formed a bond with my baby as it grew inside of me, but I wanted what was best for him--like any mother would--and I knew he deserved to grow up in a stable family. I still want to be a mom someday and I know I will be, but when I'm ready. Had I chosen to parent I would be a single mom now, most likely not in school and struggling every day to make ends meet. I miss him, but I know that he is happy, healthy and loved. I don't think that any woman should regret giving a child the chance at a life that he/she deserves.

What was your adoption situation like? Was it like Ashley's on "16 and Pregnant"?
My experience was a lot different. I found the adoptive family through a lawyer--I looked up "adoption attorneys" in the Yellow Pages and started there. They weren't members of my family, but they did come to all my doctor appointments, and they were at the hospital when I gave birth. They cut the cord when he was born and held him right away. I didn't want to hold him when he was born. It would have been too hard and I didn't want to go through what Ashley went through.

Did you always know you were going to choose adoption once you found out you were pregnant?
I had to do some soul-searching. My mom, grandmother and sister were against it and said they would help [me raise him], but I knew it was going to be up to me to make it work as a parent. My mom said someone in our family could adopt him, but I didn't want that; it would have been too hard.

Are you in touch with your baby and his family?
I get photos and letters. I just got one for the holidays actually. He's 3-years-old now and getting so big! They say he's really smart. He speaks in complete sentences and knows the names of every dinosaur, even ones I can't pronounce. He's healthy and loved, and it makes me happy because I know I made that possible.

Life-changing decisions are incredibly strenuous, so we can all relate to the uncertainty Ashley felt when choosing whether or not she wanted to parent her daughter, Callie, or let her aunt and uncle raise her. Ashley's unending dilemma was unsettling to watch (she'd already signed the adoption papers when she went back to get Callie), and even at the end of tonight's "16 and Pregnant" season finale, it was unclear whether or not she felt that she'd finally made the right choice.

Check out the "16 and Pregnant After Show" clip below, where Ashley tells SuChin Pak that she's still doubtful she took the right road. She wishes she had more information before she came to the conclusion to make an adoption plan. Plus, what do you think about her choice? Take the poll and let us know how you feel!

On tonight's episode of "16 and Pregnant," young mom Ashley went back and forth about whether or not she wanted to raise her daughter, Callie. After putting herself and her family on an emotional roller coaster, she realized that her aunt and uncle could provide Callie with a better life than she could, and expressing her inner-turmoil on her blog helped her reach that decision.

Check out the "16 and Pregnant After Show" clip below, where she tells SuChin Pak that she really wants people to support her choice, but she's received harsh criticism from readers. As fellow writers, we know firsthand how uncomfortable it can be to expose personal thoughts to the blogosphere, so hats off to her for being brave.

So far we've seen three adoption stories on "16 and Pregnant"--Catelynn, Lori, and now, Ashley. They all had different experiences with their adoptions, which is no surprise since the laws and adoption arrangements vary from state to state. Here are some basic facts about adoption:

Birth mothers in the United States usually place children for adoption either through an agency or an attorney. Agencies provide counseling and support services during the pregnancy and after the adoption takes place. They also help the birth mother select an adoptive family. Private attorneys who specialize in adoption often cover all the same stuff the agencies do. Either way, it's important to do your research and work with someone you trust and feel comfortable with. Placing a child for adoption shouldn't cost the birth mother any money--all costs and fees are usually paid by the adoptive family.

Open Adoptions
This is when the birth mother chooses the adoptive family, they get to know each other and they stay in touch. That can mean letters, photos, phone calls or in-person visits--whatever the birth mother and adoptive family decide.

Closed Adoptions
This is when the adoptive family is not known to the birth mother at all. They can still exchange letters or photos, but that kind of communication would go through a third party, and they probably wouldn't use last names or other identifying details. Closed adoptions were much more common decades ago, but not so much anymore.

Depending on the laws of the state, the biological father of the baby may have to be involved as well. If he is unknown or can't be located, there are legal steps to go through in order to complete the adoption without him. Agencies and attorneys can help with that.

Again, laws vary from state to state so it's important to talk with experts where you live if you are considering adoption. It's also a good idea to talk with other people who have been in your situation as you consider options. There are lots of resources online to help someone who is making an adoption plan--ichooseadoption.org is a good place to start.

The latest issue of Life & Style features a cover story on Heidi Montag, and--surprise--it's not another tale of faux-divorce between her and Spencer Pratt (although sources say that's coming). Rather, the angle focuses on her post-surgical woes and war wounds, which include bald spots along her hairline and an endless array of unsightly scars.

"The big dark mark from my chin reduction is probably the most noticeable. But the absolute worst is on my breasts, and the scariest is below my butt cheek," Heidi tells the magazine. "People have fewer scars from car accidents than I have on my body." (That's arguable.)

We knew Heidi missed her original body, but hopefully she can come to terms with it all someday soon. Moving on can be the best medicine!

Is it just us, or do the girls of "Jersey Shore" look better and better (and more color-coordinated!) with each passing season? Check out these pix from MTV's Seaside Heights photo shoot, in which the hair and make-up has definitely been toned down a smidge since their very first time on camera. And wait a minute--Snooki's no longer wearing color contacts!

It can't go unsaid how much a difference one year can make, but we're relieved to see that our favorite fist-throwing/vodka-guzzling/pro-belching starlets have stayed true to their flashy style. Snooki couldn't look more comfy in that leopard-skin sorta-but-not-really one-piece, and JWOWW seems totally in her element sporting a lacy bikini from her own supa-sexy collection, Filthy Couture.

+ Want to see more pix of the ladies sun-tanning on their roof? Stupid question, huh? Take a peek at this whole new batch of photos from MTV's Seaside Heights shoot.

A brand new batch of pipin' hot "Jersey Shore" cast pix are live on MTV.com, and we couldn't help but notice the angry body language in some of them. Judging by these shots, it looks as if Snooki's got beef with Vinny, JWOWW's still dueling with eye-roll aficionado Sammi "Sweetheart," and ALL the girls (yep, even the new girl, Deena) think Sam's got her flatiron stuck up her ass.

So what are everybody's issues with each other this time around? Take a peek at the trailer below to find out more of what to expect when "Jersey Shore" premieres Jan. 6 at 10/9c (and to see Deena's first-night Full Monty strip tease).

We all love a good laugh or even a cry, but there's something to be said about sitting back on the couch and taking in a really uncomfortable TV moment (courtesy of MTV, of course). Depending on your nightly program schedule, you may or may not have felt disturbed a number of times this year. We watch EVERY SINGLE ONE of our network's shows, so scenes like these were unavoidable.

Remember the premiere episode of "World Of Jenks," when we first met the shaggy-haired filmmaker? It was all fun and games until rapper Maino put him in a grappling choke hold (check it out here). Yikes! Or for "Hills" fans, we bet you cringed when tie-dye-loving Spencer Pratt draped himself in creepy seagull feathers and healing crystals and shouted gibberish at his (only) friend Charlie. The day Charlie became the voice of reason was beyond kooky (no offense, C).

And there was so much more. Let's relive it all, shall we? Here, the Most Uncomfortable Show Moments of 2010:
