Vice magazine has always been a leading authority on sex, drugs and rock and roll, but over the years the pot smoke began to clear (well, a little) and its editors' interests expanded to include politics, culture, fashion, the environment...and how these things relate to sex, drugs and and roll.
Armed with their newfound knowledge and evolving perspective, the mag has now set out to capture the modern condition on film. Premiering Monday, Dec. 6 at 11/10c, "The Vice Guide to Everything" will take you on a journey of the planet and expose viewers to its most interesting people, subcultures and rituals. It's quite the magical mystery tour--just check out the trailer below to see what we mean.

This week's episode of "16 and Pregnant" emphasized the huge role that honesty plays in a relationship. After Markai learned that her boyfriend had broken her trust, she began to question his every move. Watching her lose her sense of self is something many young women can relate to, which made the simultaneous sounds of Fielding really resonate.
If you don't already have this inspirational rock group in your iTunes lineup, then let's get you more acquainted with the melodic harmonies of the Southern California duo. Once a five-member team (original musicians Adam Ferry, Aaron Bradford and Kevin Poush went on to form the band Two Guns), the remaining artists, Beth and Eric Fielding Balmer, took a much-needed break from the music scene. It was during this hiatus that they wrote the lyrics for their sophomore album (musical director Kristopher Pooley and Ben West had a hand in producing it), aptly titled "The Voice of Us."
So what exactly is "Us" about? Well, their latest song, "Ladders to Stars," is an intimate and innocent tune that soothes the soul and reminds us that feeling uncertain (and even detached) is sometimes a part of life. Take a look at their music video to get the gist:

As we commented on yesterday, Mike's usual artillery of neon-infused T-shirts hasn't been getting as much playing time as we're used to seeing. Last night, he took things a step further and left his go-to rosary beads on the bureau and went to GQ magazine's 15th annual "Men of the Year" party in L.A. Looking dapper in a pinstripe suit and polka dot silk tie, the "Jersey Shore" star proved that he's much more fashionably versatile than we once thought. (All he needs now is to lose the diamond-encrusted shoes.)
+ Does Mike look great in a suit, or does your allegiance lie in the battle for an SBTS takeover?

Cara Maria's a wild child. Aside from the fact that she has fire engine red streaks and mini skulls burrowed within her huge head of hair, there's the whole sorta-cannibalism thing that she and Abram have going on. We understand that people can't help who they fall for, but is that what's actually happening here, and if so, are you rooting for this barbaric twosome (let's not forget that he's not the only Challenger she's made out with)?
+ Think Abram and Cara Maria make a cute "Cutthroat" couple, or does their affection creep you out? Take the poll and weigh in!

Camila was majorly P.O.'d at her completely disorganized clan of misfits for throwing her into the Gulag--again--on tonight's episode of "The Challenge: Cutthroat." After learning that she was still stuck playing the role of the Red Team's whipping girl, she unleashed her frustration on two unlikely allies: Johnny Bananas and Derrick. The boys were all ears because they had her right where they wanted!
Check out this week's installment of "Cutthroat Confessional," where Derrick says that his push to have Camila throw Challenges was all a big joke. 'Course, she was sent home, so we'll never really know for sure...

Our mind might be getting the best of us, but we imagine that when it's time for the Princess of Poughkeepsie to celebrate her birthday (which, if you didn't know, is Nov. 23), Her Majesty will walk out of her pickle palace, demurely wave to the crowds of marching soldiers (and shirtless sun worshipers), then glide to the floor for her ceremonial first dance--a fist-pump with her BFF, JWOWW.
OK, maybe a co-worker slipped us some acid, but we've seen the "Jersey Shore" girl party, so at the very least we can count on there being some serious pandemonium surrounding Snooki's bash. Sadly, we're not invited to her condom gala on Saturday...at least not yet (wink!), but we still came up with five gifts to send priority mail.
Check 'em out:
PRINCESS TIARA
Since Seaside, Snooki's replaced her drugstore hair clip repertoire with a much wider range of accessories and styles, but as far as we know, she's only got one royal crown (see her Halloween pic, on the right). Cute, right? Time to get a collection started!
PICKLE STRESS TOY
Arguably one of the "Jersey Shore" star's major food groups, the slimy green vegetable also makes a great stress reliever! Standing at over 4 inches long (hey, it's no Vinny, but it'll do), this one's made of all foam.
TANKS-SLASH-DRESSES
For someone who's barely pushing 5 feet, there's a fine line between what qualifies as a dress and a top, and luckily for Snooks, no one's questioning her. Pants are so overrated! Wethinks she'll be quite happy with this colorful assortment of Ed Hardy tops (paired with zillion-inch heels, of course!).

OUTRAGEOUS SUNGLASSES
Last season, Snooki fell in love with a pair of Swarovski-encrusted sunnies that left her speechless (and in many instances, partially blind). She needs something new to block out the UV rays, and with these money shades she'll be able to keep empty-handed gorillas at bay.
BROKEN HEART NECKLACE
Whether given to you by a childhood bestie or current beau, nothing cements a relationship like a set of split heart pendants. One for her, one for Jionni. (She can take all the credit for the idea when he delivers the thank-you smooch.)

Have you ever watched a movie with an evil villain in it and wondered if the actor's actually evil in real life?
On Monday, I went mini-golfing with Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies. Draco has been Harry’s archenemy ever since their first day at Hogwarts. With the next installment of the series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," coming out this weekend, I wanted to ask Tom about his experiences on the set, what it’s like playing the same character for half of your life and if he's anything at all like Draco.
So why mini golf? Well, Tom happens to be a very good golfer--as he says, “It’s a way of relaxing.” Immediately I could tell he was not malicious like Malfoy. In fact, he was kind, sweet and very open to all of my questions. He even spilled the beans on his girlfriend of three years, Jade, telling me they actually met on set. Apparently, Tom would make tea for her during their flirting phase--hellooo romantic! He also mentioned that he is close with the rest of the cast and that he really enjoyed working with the older cast members, some of whom are acting legends.
Tom shared that he's ready to move on from playing the evil wizard and already has three other movies in the works. One is an independent film about--what else?–-golf! Even though he had a body double for the perfect hole-in-one shots, he said it really helped him know and love the game even more. No wonder he was so good on the course! I, on the other hand, did not do so well, yet Tom was very supportive, giving me pointers along the way. He even called my golf outfit “fetching”…how British of him!
One thing is definitely clear after meeting Tom--he could not be more different than his character Draco Malfoy (see what I mean in the video below). I’m just glad he played fair, because I foolishly forgot my magic wand.

People magazine nominated Pauly D for their "Sexiest Man Alive on Facebook" contest,
and today, the results came in: Fans chose--wait for it--Vin Diesel, with Pauly D trailing in second place. Yeah, The Diesel has a gazillion Facebook friends and there's no denying that "Pacifier" was one of the greatest comedies of this generation, but we here at Remote Control believe that had more "Jersey Shore" fans voted (damn you!), the stats would've come up differently...maybe?
+ Take the poll and let us know who you think is sexier, Pauly or Vin--and while you're at it, revel in People's Sexiest Man Alive, Ryan Reynolds. We can't argue with that crown.

You give up a lot as a teenage mom, including free time, sleep and income. As we saw on last night's episode of "16 and Pregnant," Markai and James were most concerned about the money part. In the bonus scene below, the young couple goes to purchase a used car so that Markai can return to work and bring in some cash. Since their budget is tight, they have to be flexible and wind up purchasing a sedan with a broken speedometer. Take a look:
So how is the couple doing with their finances now? If you caught last night's "16 and Pregnant After Show," then you heard Markai tell SuChin Pak that they're much better off. Check out a clip from the interview, where the young mom says that James is gainfully employed and they're even living together on their own.

Neon yellow, bright purple and hot pink--these are the colors we saw Mike "The Situation" sport in Miami (SBTSs aside), so what's up with his recent wardrobe transformation? Dude's been wearing lots of dark colors lately (and barely any Ed Hardy!). Yesterday, the author went to L.A. to sign copies of his new paperback, "Here's the Situation," and didn't incorporate any eye-popping shades into his look. And earlier this month, he attended the 2010 Victoria's Secret fashion show wearing a black button-down shirt and charcoal gray vest! Is Mike just respecting the seasonal change, or is he trying to fit the persona of a deep and moody writer?
+ Do you miss seeing Mike don T-shirts covered in fire-breathing dragons, or are you feeling the more conservative look? Sound off in the comments.
