If you've ever seen "Teen Mom," then you've probably noticed that one of the most difficult changes young mothers go through (among the laundry list of them) is completing their high school education. Sleepless nights combined with the increased cost and responsibility of caring for a newborn often forces teenage mothers to make a tough decision: being parents or students. While some schools try and rectify this by offering day care, one institution in the country is designed specifically to address this issue. For more than 40 years, the Teenage Parent Program (TAPP) in Louisville, Kentucky, has helped mothers graduate high school and go onto college.
Check out this exclusive sneak peek of "Baby High," a one-hour special (airs Sunday, July 18, at 9/8c) that profiles four students enrolled at the controversial school. Among the moms are Karissa, a preacher's daughter who's completely turned her life around, and Mechele, an incredibly mature senior who's destined to do great things.
