We don't know about you, but we were pleasantly surprised to meet Brody's friend (and Stephanie's new crush) Josh on tonight's episode of "The Hills." While we don't normally dig the whole ski hat on a date thing, Josh's charming personality and overall positive aura made us overlook his fashion blunder. HE'S UP FRONT
After meeting Steph, Josh immediately asked her if she was seeing anyone else -- a straightforward and smart move given The Hillzies always seem to be involved in some sort of quasi-relationship. And during their date, Josh voiced his initial concern about Steph's past, which actually eased her fear that he wouldn't be cool with her sobriety.
HE HAS MANNERS
When Steph excused herself from the club, Josh volunteered to walk her to her car -- a total gentlemanly (and very un-L.A.) gesture! Outside, he politely asked for her phone number before offering a hug goodbye. Just what every girl hopes for after meeting someone cute!
HE'S GOT FAMILY VALUES
On their date, Josh raved about his family and said his father's amazing racing career inspired him to follow in his footsteps. Considering Stephanie's fractured relationship with her brother, Josh's strong ties to his family members might be comforting.
HE'S NOT A PARTY ANIMAL
When Steph went on a blind date with Max, she was embarrassed to order a nonalcoholic bev in front of him, but she'll never have to feel that way around Josh. They both happily sipped on soda while getting to know each other at the bar.
